Davey goals, needed that.

We seem to be getting smashed in clearances. Something we need to work on considerably.

Hawks kick fourth unanswered goal to lead 60 to 49. Looks all over the way were playing.

chill mate. long way to got yet...better still watch the game feed with a glass of red!

It's hard to know what is going on when you're not watching the game, but the midfield really does concern me.

With the exception of Trengove, what else will change for Round 1?

We don't seem to be able to win many contested ball, if at all, and that is a real worry.

gee anyone would think you guys think this is a serious match! relax

I think everyone is pretty relaxed, but a 6 goal turnaround in under a quarter is a concern no matter how serious a game is.

Sounding like our forwards are dropping everything and we are relying on crumbers for our goals. Looking like a fairly flat pre season.

This game is still up for grabs, we have played one bad stretch, grab a couple in a row and we're a chance. Would be more encouraging to have the dees winning some clearances tho...

exactly what I'm doing... actually its more like a bottle now :) (thank you Peter Lehmann for lovely shiraz grenache combo....)

Hawks have had about twice as many shots on goals.

FFS are we getting smashed in the inside 50s once again?!

Ok folks ... final quarter now under way

Hawks win the ball out of middle ... David Hale wins the ball and takes the mark - will line up for goal

I am going to bed...

Chill Guys...it's a practise game...

ANY INJURIES??

This is not an attack on either of the posters but in all honesty, i'm sickened by that attitude. Of course I see where you're coming from and no it's not a real game but we haven't won a single match yet... We played Brisbane, and haven't won a single match. And so help me God if anyone brings up those "games" in Adelaide I may lose it. They weren't real matches and the game against the Crows was lost by the Crows not won by Melbourne. I agree with all the propaganda... it's time to show something.

Great first half Dees, good luck for the 4th qtr.

Penfolds Koonunga Hill here

Cheers chums lol

( and they call us Stereotyped! )

The most concerning thing is the disparity in scoring shots. Could have been much worse.

Agreed.

Double the amount of scoring shots by the Hawks. Not good at all.

I am the feeling a bit the same. They might be only practise matches, but we still cannot seem to win.

Sounds like our forward setup or the delivery is letting us down badly. Is Petterd on the ground? Have not heard him mentioned at all.

Short memory? Not so much. Short attention span? Very much yours. Read the rest of a post before commenting on it.

Obvious to say we miss Frawley down there.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

    TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
