It's time for government and the law to step in and deal with the minor at the centre of this storm to protect her from herself and give her some chance in life.

No one can make this girl accept any help if she des not want it. Which appears to be the case. Are you suggesting the men in white coats be brought in to lock her up for her own protection?

As a minor the law can make a person accept help whether she wants it or not. ( not sure legally though if a minor is under 16 or under 18 )

I just wish the help she had received wasn't from humanitarians like Ricky Nixon and Sam Gilbert ( and apparently others )

Minor is under 18

It is, your right, but can't you see through this, that this kid is so damaged, that she is now acting in this way. With the 'aints players & now with that manager.

Thats what we're talking about, that this 17 Yr old has completely lost her way. Now it may not have been initially caused by the footy players, nor by the way 'aints management treated her, nor by that managers treatment of her.

But, she was abused by the footy players, the footy management & legal eagles, & the foolish old man. And the AFL, itself. It's just no argument that the baby left on your doorstep wasn't your responsibility, so you plonk it out on the footpath for someone else to attend. Oh, wait, is that what happened?

This girl appeared, was taken in, abused, & ushered out. No wonder she's so scorned.

Kama's a [censored]!

* It is now up to the AFL to show real leadership here, instead of hiding behind that invisable curtain they have when they want it.

Vlad, step up mate & be seen to act on behalf of this Kid, in honour of Jill.

Interesting choice of words by AD

Nixon made an error of judgment. Singular? Sounds like he made several "errors" over a one month period or more

AD went out of his way to call the girl "a child" yet previous AFL investigations found no wrong doing by the StKilda and one Collingwood player even though it breached the AFL's own code of conduct. Does he not allow questions at his pressers?

nixon is a tool - no doubt, but its funny how he's being made out as the bad guy but when the Saints players were making headlines it was the girl who was the villan....

BUMP

Finally the AFL must have realised what a cancer this bloke is to the brand. Something had to give before seasons kickoff!

He is taking an indefinite break from his company and seeking treatment for a ``substance problem``??.

Yes the Players are part of the AFL Brand...Nixon is expendible.

If it was "Underbelly" Ricky would be quietly removed.

He, it seems to be being managed, to disappear, for a while.......

,,,,,,,,,,,,'till we meet again, then,,, event-ually, he'll be back to the bus''',,,,,ness.

Galbelly, will do vlad a mighty fine job.

I do believe we saw the start of it (media, part 1), @ 7.30 Sunday night. (where's eddy the eagle in all this) 99999......... footy rights?????

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
