I actually got the feeling someone thought they were being clever and funny with the use of Kevin Sheedy's initials.

I may be wrong, but even the use of capitals, as it was written "Knee Soreness".

We'll surely know by Friday.

Dane Swan is out with 'Korked Shoulder'

IF he has "knee soreness" it is probably best he does not play.

It is only 11th Feb. on Friday, a long way from September!

As well it gives another spot for someone else to show their wares.

WE know Tom can cut it at senior level.

How come we are so poor /unlucky with injuries and the Pies so lucky/ good?

Last years they got to the finals with one long term injury and we had double figures.

After a pre Christmas with a full list we now have 4 long term injuries to good players.

I do not get it.

This depresses me more than Scully leaving!

Frawley was/is the only long-term one with an initial 12-week ommission from footy.

Newton and Morton both 6-8 weeks.

Having said this though, it is FAR better the injuries occur now rather than during the season proper!! Morton (and Newton) will miss a MAXIMUM 2 weeks of the 2011 season. Petterd should be fine after tweaking his hamstring in the intra-club game - plenty of time to have recovered.

I'm concerned about Frawley though... and Campbell is a concern also.

Fitzpatrick may take a while to recover.

I don't think Scully will strip Friday night- he is to good to risk.

Not playing (didn't travel).

Could be knee soreness indeed, but wonder if they just wanted to fly under the radar with him till things quieten down. Interview with Trengove today in the HUN, and first question was "will Scully stay".

Let's hope there are a few big stories come out of the games this weekend so we can move on from the Scully "news".

I'd feel more comfortable if he were there with the rest of the team even if injured. Will send a positive message.

I hate to split hairs Deezman but 8 weeks is a long term injury in my view.

Ok he may be available early in the season but if you miss 8 weeks of practice matches and early season games it will take 2 - 4 weeks to get back to where you should have been at the start of the season.

What is wrong with Fitzpatrick?

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

A couple of intrepid Demonland Trackwatchers headed down to Gosch's Paddock for the midweek Preseason Training Session to bring you the following observations. Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
