l was thinking that I am hungry for footy to start this year an thought that it could be a good idea to take a drive to Adelaide.

For $20, I get to watch 3 AFL games which would give me a big hit that I need and also help out with the floods but then thought HOLD on !!!!!!!!!!

There will be a heap of Crows and Power people there what about the Dee's - is there many from Demonland going or many Demon fan at all?

I have never been interstate to watch the boys would like to be around Dee's fans not dead heads.

Should I go and take the kids for a weekend trip or just stay home and watch on TV?

You could go, but if you start to hear the strains of "Duelling Banjoes" it might be best to start moving rather rapidly towards the exit - you really don't want to be there when the "squeal like a pig" chant starts up.

I wouldn't want an Adelaide NAB Cup game to be my first interstate footy trip.

The Darwin game has to be the best interstate game I've been to.

I will never attend a Port game over in Adelaide since going there a few years back now when I was about 9 and they threw food and spat at Melbourne fans.

I haven't been back since.

Fair call hardtack. U certainly wouldn't want to watch deliverance prior to attending the adelaide stadium. Fiction may just evolve into reality!

Would prefer Round 4 if I were to take an interstate trip this year. Get more use out of my VIP pass then. :)

It's such a stupid fixture for us to open the NAB CUP against Adelaide and Port and not on free to air! And it's very unlikely that we could progress to the next round, not that it matters anyway

Really hoping to get to Darwin this year. Combine footy with traveling to a new place.

And take it from someone who has been to Adelaide to watch the footy half a dozen times... don't. It's an experience you definitely want to miss.

Off to Darwin this year. Was planning on Brisbane for the Suns game - but unfortunately can't make it.

My only interstate trip will be in round 4 against the Gold Coast.

I'll be making two interstate trips this year... to Melbourne :-) Don't know which games yet, but must at be the MCG.

It's a very good thing for the large amount of Melbourne members up here. I think there is 5000 members living in SA? We Don't get to see them play often and to watch them early in the season is a small pleasure.

I'm going to Adelaide.

To those who want to avoid Adelaide because of our poor record there in the past - get over it!

We've got a much better side now and it's time to replace the loser's mentality among fans and to really support your team.

I'll be with you, Don't get thrown out of the club function this year !!

What happened, did gOLLy speak his mind ?

Adelaide was my first interstate game Vs Port in 2009, we lost by 10goals,

the beer is [censored] the ground is [censored], the port adelaide supporters are [censored],

my point is ADELAIDE is a [censored] hole.

I'm most likely heading down. Make a bit of a road trip about it as we'll have the whole weekend to do whatever after the match. Hopefully the crowd are ferals. That just gets me going

I will be travelling to Adelaide to watch Melbourne Victory @ the Adelaide Oval.

shapes up to be a cracker game and crucial to where we finish in finals.

Shattered that the Dees are playing up the road the same time as the soccer..would have been perfect if it was on the saturday...

besides finals there is nothing better then travelling interstate to watch your team. I love going to Subiaco when we play, it is a good atmosphere. I am looking forward to the West Coast game this year. I will have easter in Perth and stay on for the Thursday night game.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
