PJ and Rivers out for me. Rivers played a loose man in defense and still was not his usual self. Perhaps he is lacking some confidence?

Some talk about Bennell being dropped. He is one of our "kids", and we need to play our kids if we want them to be ready in a few years time. Rivers and PJ are part of our senior group of players, and need to show a bit more than what they did against the eagles.

I half expect one or two of Bruce/Davey/Bate to be rested due to injury (depending on the severity. Bate looked the one who was most hampered during the loss.

Ins?

Morton if ready. MacDonald could perhaps add something to steady the ship. Wonna would be nice if ready also.

bruce (injured) out for macdonald. bate (injured) out for miller.

morton will come in; my tip is for danny hughes (omitted), and it wouldn't surprise me if dunn comes in for PJ (omitted).

So, you're the one who wants to drop Sculls hey ?

O...M...G !!!!

i am very exited about scully. he is going to be an absolute star. but i still stand by my vote. Surely we can all see that he has turned it over a number of times. Are we going to just send him the message that his disposal is all ok. Best to teach them early I say.

I know he is not alone. I also think that if we bring in Gysberts then another younger kid would be a better replacement, so as to not lose to much experianced heads.

begin abuse below.... ;)

hate to say it but the big lanky boy has apparntly deserved a call up. Jake Spencer will proberly come in for Paul Johnson

Id also like to see Jordie Gysberts in the side hate a few sensational games in the 2s racking up larger numbers but cant see who will go out for him.

Also Kyle Cheney could be a good in to make that backline a bit smaller its to big for my liking.

Youd think dunn would come in for bate due to his injury

Probably a fair call in my opinion on Bruce. Extent of injuries may result in one other inclusion (will Bate come up?).

PJ will be omitted.

Would they "rest" one of the younger players (Trengrove/Scully) as part of managing their workload?

Those of you who reckon Bennell should be dropped dont know Jack [censored]

The guy is always presenting, pick up skills from off the ground are second to none.

Contest in the air, good leg speed.

The problem is poor delivery in to forward line. How many times do you see him busting his gut

to get to a shocking kick right on boundry line.

Dont judge him till he gets good delivery.

Absolutely correct !

If Bate & Bruce are injured, naturally they will need to be dropt. But, if going on form, wasn't a fan of Sylvia's game. His first 2 games back from broken jaw were fantastic, since then not much. I think Watts did enough to remain aswell.

Yep total flogs.

All the players are beyond reproach.

Bruce should continue kicking out from kick ins. Garland shouldn't be moved from class forwards after getting smashed. Johnson should be planted in the goal square after not taking a mark insie 50. Bennell should continue to be brave.

West Coast are very difficult opponents don't forget particulary at the MCG

When did West Coast last win at the G ??????

My vote goes with Johnson (just not good!) but reckon Bruce and Bate will be out with injury.....Morton is a monty to replace Bruce.

Gysberts has been banging the door down and deserves a game, is an insider player with clean hands which will be ideal for Darwin.....this kid will be a jet!!

They could go with Miller for the other spot................would agree that he is on his last chance but still deserves a look in, he works his a$$ off and may work well with Watts, alternating between CHF and FF as the lead up player. Miller could also play as back up ruckman for Jamar.

A more possible inclusion may well be one of Jetta or Wonna.....the dew/humidity might make it difficult for talls, plus the drive for one of these two inclusions to rip it up while in Darwin.

Would be great to see Wonna back but it would be pretty even between Wonna and Jetta as to who came in as form at Casey as been fairly similar.

Bennell still has a fair bit to prove in my opinion (X-Factor is there no doubt) and he could be rotated (rather than dropped as such - form is scratchy but passable) for one of Jetta or Wonna if they were both to come in, but not sure they will 'rotate' him for this game as he probably doesn't warrant that just yet.

So, OUT - Bate, Bruce (ijnured), Johnson (DROPPED!)

IN - Morton, Gysberts, Jetta or Wonna....maybe Miller?!

I hope Wonna but feel it may be Jetta, Wonna just not ready for a long trip considering he is returning from a long time on the sidelines. Could probably do without the plane trips as recovery.

Will also add that MacDoonald could be an inclusion.....Sylvia and Rivers need to do more. Rivers probably played out of position....plays the free many so well as opposed to one on one......

The last time they won at the G was their premiership year. 2007.

Try 2006.....2007 was Geelong's drought breaker in that 100 point classic!!!

When is our drought breaker!!!! I'm very thirsty!

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well …

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
