Mate you didn't even watch or listen to the game going by your earlier posts. Just looking at the disposal count at the end of a game doesn't tell you anything. 1st half Bruce's first 5 handballs missed targets resulting in turnovers or stopping our forward thrust. He improved 2nd half but would not say he was anywhere near the best players.

Yes Bate played very well.

Great team effort from the mighty Dees and great footy to watch.

Bate played better than well, especially in the first half where he directed our midfield ball going forward, spotting up numerous forward targets lace out. Think back, (all you guys), to the first & 2nd Qtrs, where he received or won the ball in the Mid zone And turned us into attack, he straightened our small forward structure with his great use by foot, hitting targets almost every time.

No doubt... Bate was sensational... all those advising he was working into match fitness/ form were spot on....looked fantastic and really gave us some spine through CHF

Watching the game on Foxtel here in WA I was so proud to hear the commentators full of praise for us. Tony Shaw was loving us, Alistair Lynch less so because of his Brisbane allegiance. We are an excitement machine!

FYI Ladies and Gents,

Bail missed because of a corked thigh that didn't come up. Apparently some heavy bruising and bleeding. Hopefully right for next week - who misses out though?

I think Tony Shaw had covered the commentary box with his own DNA he was that excited!

Talk about pumping us up!

He's given it to us when we were down, so at least he is squaring up now we are on the up.

I would reverse it again, Martin out Bail in... Also, Jack Watts would have played his allotted 3 games for Casey. PLEASE can he play against Kangas next week. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE.

Morton 2 weeks :)

When is the last time we had two big wins "50 point" in a row

1998 apparently, was the last time we had three good wins in a row, according to the foxtel commentators after the match !!

That was BEAUTIFUL!

Hands down the best win we've had since 2006, and our highest ladder position since 2006 as well.

As I said last week, the tide has turned and we are finally on our way. Never in my life have I been more confident of success than I am right now.

GO DEES!!! :)

We stepped up two notcbes tonight from the side that beat Adelaide and Richmond.

We got a glimpse of the future tonight!

Enjoy it!

Oh we are Rhino we are !!

My young bloke reckons tonight "...is just like the olden days..." 2006 in his case.

The roar with each goal, the singing and the elation.....it has been a while but I'm looking forward to my first opportunity to watch the Dees win a flag....with my son. We've got years of good times in front of us

Yeah my old man is in his eighties and recovering from several ops...we are hoping for 1 more...or in my case 1.

Just saw a few highlights on the news. I was thrilled to see footage of Brown on a long lead. Frawley overhauled him, got to the ball first and easily punched it out of bounds. Another play and Frawley outmuscles him to take a nice mark. Have to love a guy who is that fast and still strong enough to push Brown off the ball like that.

Lets hope this win will bring in more memberships... And a few more to renew from last season.

Gee the lions % took a bit of a dive 111.55...the worst in the eight !!

What a great night and a great win. So much to love - 4 great quarters of hard running, tough tackling and good-looking footy. Can't believe I'm saying this about the Demons! Our depth seems so much better now - e.g. Junior goes off and Jeordie comes on to do just as good a job. Love how Scully straigthens us up - I saw him have the option to go out wide to the wing to two free players, but instead took off through the center square and deliver beautifully inside 50. We looked stronger than them all over the ground for 4 quarters. Best for years.

GO THE MIGHTY DEES! So proud of the boys, we didn't just beat a good team, we SMASHED them! =)

JONESY's GOAL...How Good was it....As Good as the Captains Goal in the Last Quarter-we had to get that first goal of the Last Q.

So proud to be there tonight. Belief is an amazing thing when the whole team feels it.

Can we get a win away from the MCG? Dean's next test.

Go You Mighty DEMONS :)

I agree, I could not believe my eyes tonight, there were just white hot. Was expecting the boys to go hard, but was not expecting this. Fantastic win

He Is Not ready yet. Let us not crucify the Kid by playing him before he's ready to fly.

He's gunna be a good'un, but he needs a little quiet time, with us punters Not expecting Big things from him strait off the Bat...

When the MIDS, start to Constantly bring the ball forward more precisely,,, That should be about the right time to elevate the Kid.

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
