Just listened to it. Not much.

Stated that he was surprised he was delisted. (Heard this previously). Although it was interesting to hear him mention that Melbourne told him that Brisbane were looking to trade him as early as round 20 last year. Mentioned that Grimes and McKenzie were future stars of the AFL. He was particularly impressed/inspired by Grimes continuous gut running deep into the last quarter against the Pies. Also mentioned with a bit of a tongue in cheek that the G is a bit of a hoodoo ground for him. That was really about it.

Had a good game last week Joel. Will be interesting to see what happens when we have him, Garland, Rivers, Frawley and Warnock all up and running in the defence. Can they all fit???

No mention of the most visible cramp in television history?

During the last quarter you see the veins in Joel's leg bulging and going in to spasm. Awful.

Watch the replay and listen to Dunstall's reaction.

He could possibly play on a wing or tag a player. Got options with him.

Wow? KB has guests? I'd have thought his show was just two hours of him mumbling to us all about how great he is and how he's right about everything and "Kevin Sheedy should coach Richmond, you know. It's about time they got Danny Frawley out of there. Where's my mashed pears?"

he got better as the game wore on last week. His couple of contested marks on Anthony were impressive.

hope he backs up this week, which we will need against Adelaide.

Horrible stuff, his calf muscle looked like it disconnected from his achilles.

He did some good things on saturday, could be an important player for us given his experience realtive to our other backmen.

Ooh yeh, I remember seeing that from MCC level 2. That was pretty rank.

As did I.

I was shocked when he managed to keep going.

Of course, the idiot buffoon near me was complaining about both MacDonald not kicking straight away, and the umpire calling time off.

Of course they can. Didn't you see Frawley line up on Medhurst last week, and defeat him? A couple of our defenders (ie Frawley and Macdonald) can play tall or short.

Very solid backline without any superstars.

He played OK. Made a few ugly mistake in the first two rounds that kind of justified Brisbane delisting him. I guess it's good that we have an experienced played in the side, but I can't imagine him being part of our long term plans to be honest. He's another Craig Ellis at best.

More visible than Bennell's "cramp"? Managed to fight through the pain barrier soon after.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
