Jack Watts ill with a low level virus

Geesus

Is she a vegetarian? The bit of extra fibre may have got her!

Dont know what you were eating.

They taste like beautiful sweet cherries. Like nice sultanas..

Better than any piece of lab made sugar-infested lolly you buy at the store and the healthiest food on earth.

But yeah.. a bit expensive.. a $24 1/2 kg bag lasts me a month- but i scoff em. You can get them at any health food store..

Mabbe Jack should be eating Gojis..

(BTW- Acai berries are good too, but i cant afford too lose the weight that goes along with it..)

Hmm sounds good.. where can I get me some of these Acai berries????? What do they taste like? Perhaps they are the dried dog food ones.. lol

As for Jack, a bug can knock you around but I am sure some good home cooking from mum and a week or two off will have him ready and rarin to go in 2010!

The bad news is that Newton (for I think it was him) has wised up and changed FB security settings to keep people out.

The word "MILF" would only have been appropriate to an 18-year-old on his first footy trip.

Things like that I don't think we as supporters should be privy to.

Through knowing a few of our players I see some photos that should be for their eyes only.

Fortunately most of them are technologically savvy enough to keep them unaccessible by the general public, but I worry there's some accidents waiting to happen...

I fully agree. One freak (not me!) starts typing in names, finds open profiles, sends links and it's on.

Though having said that if they're going to do something special like crack onto 40-year-old housewives then I must know.

If it prevents him from training, which it did, it's an injury.

Butt I won't say any more.

Hahahah well quite clearly you know the full extent of the story...

However that doesn't explain why the Mods changed the title of this thread... Clearly mis-information, and not what I had originally posted as the headline.

Merry Christmas demonland!

Yep, Acai are the dry dog food ones ;)

Theyre ground up and taste like a peppery, spicey blah!

I used to stir a spoonful into a glass of V8 and SKULL!

But yeah, i dont store fat, so when i lose weight its muscle - so had to give em up for now..

EDIT: grab em at a health food store too

it would be interesting if he was injured this season, did not play a game for carlton and got traded back at the end of 2010 to captain the dees to a premiership in 2011.

i suppose we'll have to wait and see if he plays a game for them...

There is no doubt the club is wrapping this guy up in cotton wool- they know the ramifications if last year is revisited-(the press will be all out to get him),.although I think he performed adequately. Jack will start to really show his true worth after a couple of pre seasons possibly 3 more. I have no doubt he will be a sensation - however we all have to be very patient with him.

Do you really think the press is that much of an issue?

I still pay the 'bad press' of last year no mind.

I think supporters feel it more acutely than either the club or Watts himself.

Confidence is really a major component to a player and yes, I do believe that if the press really got into him - it could really affect him. However, the major saving grace is - his personality probably would not affect him like some others and Bails will not play him until he is really ready. I got from the news report that Williams thinks that the club will not play him till he is ready-- whenever that is.

The minute we start developing our players based on perceived future media pressure we may as well give it all away.

Agree. Watts was always going to be developed over a couple of years. This is his first pre season and he has much growing and development to do as a footballer. I would not be surprised if he play less than 14 games this year and in a variety of positions too to learn the trade.

I didn't say that- read my post properly.

However I agree with the 3 yrs or so for development

But what has that got to do with the press?

Surely, as soon as they start their career they are advised to not read the papers, and pay them no mind.

Add to that the fact he fully understands his won situation, that of being younger than most draftees and an underdeveloped KPP, and I doubt he'd let it get him down.

Moreso, I think he'd find it frustrating and be determined to get his body right and prove the doubters wrong.

Either way, I think some of us see the media as having more power over players than it does in reality.

That is a matter of opinion- I respect yours and agree with some aspects only.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
