Interesting.

Thorp and others no doubt could fall to the PSD and be considered but it does at least appear that MacDonald has a plan of some sort. Has MFC been reported to have spoken with MacDonald at all? I know we've been reported to be interested in him (as much as a few others anyway).

In any case, I wouldn't be dissapointed if we went with MacDonald in the PSD. I think he has something to offer us over the next 3 or 4 years in the way of (experienced) mid height defensive depth which would cover injuries as well as free some of the younger defenders up the ground if so desired.

MacDonald knows something we all don't- where he is going next year. I think given that he did not nominate he has a clear idea that he will be joining a side with an early PSD pick. I would also suggest he has had more than 1 team verbally agree to draft him via the PSD. Why else would he bypass the ND?

It could be a money issue. Am I right in saying that if he goes to a club in the ND, he's got to go there no matter the contract they offer him, where as he's got more of an option in the PSD.

I can see him going to Richmond in the PSD if we pick Thorp and Freo takes McPhee.

He's the one we want.

Experianced - Hard Bodied - 25 Years of Age.

Will compliment our list nicely & can play.

interesting I think. Joel in the backline might fuel ideas that Garland might go forward. Jared will have toearn his keep Ido quite like the idea of Macdonalds drive off of the half back line..gives a bit more spring. Together with Grimes.. happy days :)

I would prefer MacDonald play with Junior and Bruce in the backline and push Grimes into the midfield.

I'm not sure who would move out of the 22 though.

Availability is the great unknown and, as always, will play a role.

First thing that came to my mind. By 'gingoes', it will fuel the love 45hotgod16 has for Grimes a little more.....if that is possible. :)

nothing wrong with that per se ..but think Grimes will spend most of next season in defence.. the midfiled might come later. I really like the poise and direction that jack gives off the half back line.. I suspect Bails does too.

Still the teamwil lgestate for some time.. nothing in concrete

Will be interestiing to see how the nature of our attack out of defence builds. Handy pickup , Joel, if happens

Would have to be a good addition with his age and body size. Sounds great, he earned me plenty of points in supercoach, ball magnet alright.

Can someone tell me why he`s finished at Brisbane though, i seem to forget. Delisted ( why ? ) or did he leave ( why ? ).

News up here in Brisbane is that he just wanted to play footy in Melbourne. Was getting enough regular games and form wasn't an issue?!

He was delisted. Voss rates Staker ahead of him. That should be telling us something....

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
