Just a question that does not need an aswer immediately, but I was wondering how the whole seating arrangements work for the GF, for

1) MFC Member (not redlegs and trident members...just your average "red and blue" members)

and for

2) MCC Full Members

as I understand it, there is a ballot for roughly half of the seats in the MCC and for those that miss out, people can arrive early...

however, what do the "Red and Blue" members do?

Is there a ballot for us? Are the seats in "the outer" designated half/half for the 2 clubs playing off in the Granny?

Do people still lign up...where? when?

Do those that get this new "Premiership Gaurantee" at the beginning of the year with their memberships go into a luck draw us to where their seats are?

As I said, this is all just out of curiosity...interested to know how the whole system works these days...

Gees Buddy, why did ya leave it so late to ask these Q's?

Come line up with me near Gate 2 at the G for MCC walk up members. Gates open at 8am for walk up and you go in, get a seat and a steward gives you a tick for the seat.

Taking a st kilda supporting mate with my visitor's pass.

We're going to line up about 2 or 3am. Last year we got there at 4am and got a decent seat, but this year we're expecting more earlier cos of St Kilda.

Heard on SEN yesterday a guy who lined up at midday Thursday and he doesn't even support cats or saints.

I was at the G yesterday at lunch time, and there were about 40 people lined up. Apparently there were a group of 10 or so that have been lining up since Wednesday! Wow thats commitment.

Humbug. As far as I'm concerned, if we're not in it then it's the same as any other day on the calendar.

Then you must have some pretty boring Grand Final days

I love Grand Final day...it's the pinnacle of the year and reminds all the other clubs, that this is the day they should all be striving for

Now off for a few early beers

Enjoy

You're assuming that every day of my life is boring. It's not and I don't need an early or a late beer to help make life interesting. That's the good thing about people - we're all different.

For a couple of weeks last year Nathan Carroll was doing pre season with St. Kilda with the idea that he might hold down a spot at full back.

The Saints decided at the last minute not to take him and, in the end, they rookied Zac Dawson and the rest is history.

But imagine what might have been if Nathan Carroll made the cut?

Probably would have switched on enough to play a few good games early in the year, but there wouldn't be a chance in hell he would have kept Maxy out.

Indeed. The Cats and Saints fans must have been feeling sick to the stomach in that last quarter. Great match for the neutral though. None of this boring Geelong-Port blowout crap.

Zac Dawson is a gun.

Actually went and bought a Zac Dawson badge to wear at the game today as I was an honorary saint for the duration of the match.

He didn't disappoint, young Zac - can hold his head high after his performance

That's moronic - rocked up at 5am today and still pretty much had our pick of the seating.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
