I know most won't really care , but my weekly thread will not appear for the next 3 weeks as I'll be tanking it overseas .

Anyone is welcome to take over in my absence .

Joeboy, I enjoy your three word analysis. I'll post one but I'm sure there's plenty around who'll probably get in before me, I seriously doubt that I'll be able to do one as quick as yours!

Were are you going?

I like the 3 word analysis.

It's a great part of this site and usually generates some of the better post match discussion. Have a good break Joeboy.

I'm going up to the game, starting uni again the next morning so I won't be able to say much for a while but hopefully am somewhere near sober enough to be able to think of 3 words for a few players at least

Joeboy, most of us look forward to your bit after every game. Of course we don't agree with all you say, that's the point, it's the best discussion-starter on the forum. Nobody does it better. Enjoy your break, and come back as provocative as ever.

In hindsight, it was in the top 7 posts I've ever read on this website.

Hindsight is 20/20, my posting is not. Perhaps I should lighten up B)

Agree. I think too many people here rip into Joeboy just because they don't agree with one of his statements. The point is to create discussion, not for Joeboy (or anyone else) to tell everyone how to perceive a player.

Joeboy - should chose replacement

I was actually very impressed with Dee - luded's efforts a few posts back , so if he's ( she's ) willing , I confer the honour upon him ( her )

You'll have to swear dee-luded in - Knight him/her in the customary way, won't you...

Careful dee-luded might not relinquish the role on your return

as they say...."when you see an opportunity - you take it" - maybe the FD should follow that motto :)

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
