Watts still sick? :)

Not sure why moloney or big stef is in the extended bench. Both were fantastic last week and would be very surprised if its more than

Out sylvia

Good deductions.

Obviously the only one with a chance of being dropped from that extended bench is Bennell and I would think he would stay.

surely just the one change to the final team, with Bell, Miller and Bartram as emergencies?

Yep. It's time for Dunny to get another chance (possibly his last?) to prove himself at this level, after several strong performances with Casey.

Where's Watts?? :(

Back at school I reckon. We might see him with a couple of games to go. I also think it's time for Cale to have a rest and earn his spot again.

I think he should play three games in a row with casey and then work his way into the senior team after the skilled and manuka games in three weeks time...

btw, why would an 18 year old sneak to the local park when they can finally get into the pub? ;)

Will be either just the one change (either Dunn or Bell for Sylvia), or one or more of Moloney, Bennell or Martin will be at Casey (where they've all been named on an extended bench).

Surely whoever's the "in" (or "ins", as the case may be) needs to stay "in" for at least 3 weeks. There's absolutely no point having them "in" one week and "out" the next.

School on a sunday?

My predicted interchange:

Moloney, Martin, Bennell, Miller.

Miller will get picked I think for another try.

Maybe. They will not beat Adelaide at AAMI besides they are probably saving him for the Derby.

Disappointed that one of Miller, Bell, Bartram and Dunn is going to get a game in front of Watts and Cheney. Of those listed, I'd prefer Bartram.

I think it will be either Dunn or Bartram. Leaning towards Dunn.

I reckon Dunn in for Sylvia.

No way moloney would get dropped after his game last week.

Watts will be sick for a few more games I reckon :)

Playing at casey tomoro!!

Good idea to send him back, and make him earn his spot back in the side. Should be a lot better for the run in the big time and have more influence at vfl level.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
