I don't expect too much from Watts in his first game. He is a boy amongst men and I think we should be excited for the future but not expect him to do a great deal this year.

10 kicks

2 handballs

12 disposals (83% effective)

5 marks (1 contested)

3.1 goals behinds

2 tackles

4 inside 50's

1 goal assist

1 free for

0 frees against

0 clangers

From around 75% game time.

He'll kick a behind with his first kick in AFL (after hitting the post from 45m out, on the run, near the boundary), and a goal with his 2nd kick. The other 2 of his 3 goals will come in the last quarter, the first of them, coming early in the last, to put us in the lead for the first time since the 1st qtr, the second to ice the game around the 27 min mark... for the fairy-tale finish we all long for!

Dees to win by 19 points on the back of a perfect debut from JW.

Coincidentally, the final margin's the same as Watts' contribution to the score. Thus making Watts, THE difference! :D

Don't care about Quantity, That's not the point. Quality is the key

Even if he only has one kick- if it goes to where it is intended i will be rapt & jack will say "I can do this & i deserve to be on this Ground.

A couple of early touches would be Fantastic, His First Mark & Kick at Goal, if he can achieve that on Monday He will be rolling.

if anyone has actually watched his last 2 weeks he has been so far up the ground that his chances of kicking a goal are very slim

Melbman and Freak to fight it out for top honours.

Anything over 20 touches would be an awesome return. Anything over 3 goals would be sensational. I'm predicting somewhere in the mid-teens for touches. What will matter is the manner in which he gets it and uses it. One snap like his one a couple of weeks ago would be enough to thrill the parochial.

HAHAHA... i know, but as i said in another thread, i don't think i've been as excited for a game since the 2000 GF!

In all honesty though, as long as he gets thru unscathed and doesn't make any massive howlers, i'll be wrapt with his game. And a win on top of that well, that would make my day, no, my year!

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
