I dobbed my fiancee in, and she paid with my credit card...cruel, cruel hilarious world

Approximately 30,275 now.

There's been a few highlights this season.

But our membership record stands out for me. Just simply great that so many have joined up considering we're in the early stages of a huge rebuild. We're ahead of the Saints, Dogs and Roos, all played finals last season.

We're showing the world we are a passionate club.

I've been a member since 1982 and haven't felt such a good vibe around the club as I have this season.

We're taking care of business.

If she has your credit card details and that's all she's using your card for, you should be very very thankful.

She can obviously control her shopping needs. Some of us aren't that lucky.

HaHa!! That's great!! That is what men are for...

Clubs that have one total only show their match day members. Match day members are the only ones the AFL recognises when it does its official membership tallies around the end of june.

So Bulldogs only have around 26,000 compared to our 30,000.

Does anyone know how the MCC/MFC memberships are counted. There are $50 and $150 memberships. Do they both count. How do they compare to a game day membership for other clubs. Obviously they aren't worth as much, so how does the 30,000 members translate to income for the club compared to other clubs memberships.

Anyone know?

I don't know. The Premium MCC/MFC m/ship is close to the Red&Blue Adult 11 ($170) and plenty of Clubs have 'value' memberships.

It would be nice to know the breakdown of all the different types of membership packages that each of the clubs have sold. This would reveal how many cut-price memberships have been sold, but also how many premium packages have been sold. I ante up for 3 packages at $210 a head (11 Home games with reserved seats), but they are counted as the same as a $40 gift from an MFC member.

Are they? Do you mean the Demon Heartland m'ship?

No, I mean the option for an MCC member to become an MFC member. Last year it was $40, I think. The AFL never used to let us count these as members, but relented a few years ago. Whilst this makes our figures look good, other clubs, in particular Hawthorn, have also taken advantage of it and the AFL now regards the three game membership package in the same light as a full member.

Many argue that this inflates the figures, and this may well be true. I am just saying that many club members go over and above the standard membership and wonder just how much this offsets the lower value members.

BTW the reserved seat option is value for money in spades, and I have told the club this. $60 for a reserved seat, and a good one too, at 10 home games, priceless!

yep, we sit in the redlegs social club with the mfc supporters, and i wouldn't sit anywhere else. beats sitting in amongst it any day, so much more passion, and while there are still a few strange fellas, at least they are on your side!

That's not a memebership it is an initiative to get schoolkids rom Casey and surrounds to go watch the dees for free.

Go to a school and say who wants to go to the G? And they say 'yay' without realising its the Dees, and when they get there they watch Robbo and are given a Demons beanie.

And in 10 years time they spend a couple hundred bucks on a Dees membership.

Well, that's the plan anyway...

I must admit I paid the ultimate sacrifice. I was a member at the start of the year but to get my fiance (who's a saints fan) to also take one out I had to take a saints membership out also. I figured it was worth it, the more members the better!
