Davey + Pick 19 might land pick 4

i would take that. although i think port would probably be winning.

i was going to propose davey and 17 for 4 and thompson, that might be a bit more even. port get a player who could really turn it on for them, and a pick effectively in the first round, while they lose pick 4 and a player who was going to go anyway.

Dream on guys. He's fishing for Didak.

quite possible.

If they are fishing for Didak, its a good move on their part. They'd certainly have the filth's attention.

Thompson wants to go, so that is a good option you've thrown up deanox. I'd take it, just don't know if Port would.

i still think didak for pick 4 is a definite loss for port

we might have a few deals up our sleeves

Before you were saying we could get Pick 4 by trading Bell and Pick 35, yet the Didak deal for Pick 4 is a loss for Port? Sheesh.

Take the glasses off. If the Didak deal is a loss for Port then we would be royally screwing them in that Bell deal went through.

Bell could beat Didak. ANd the pick sweetens the deal. Didak and collingwood 2nd pick would do for port.

He beat him once, in 07. Didak is three times the player Bell is. I don't really like writing bad stuff about my own club, but there is no way Bell is close to being in the same league as Didak.

I think the catch with the Dees will be the Player + Pick to improve position.

Bell and pick 35 to Adelaide for 28, and then put Green on the table with 17 or 19 and see if we can get 4-8.

We'd then end up with 1, one of 4-8, one of 17 or 19 (which ever remains), and 28, losing Bell and Green and 17 or 19. These kind of deals i can see happening, however it all depends on how well we target trade period, and whether Port, Essendon, Carlton, Brisbane or Richmond would be interested in Greeny. Wish we could catch a club out with a Hay-esque deal but even Freo wouldn't be that stupid, and you have to put quality on the table to get anywhere.

I want pick 4 as much as the next guy, but prepare to give up Cale Morton in return.

Some of the names I am seeing here like Bell and Frawley are diabolical.

Does anyone really think we'd actually trade effectively 2, 3 or more players for the rights to 1 player?

Port would have to send a bit more back our way just to make it work. Most probably rejects just so the numbers add up, but still.

And i'm most surprised that no one has mentioned us trading the south australian Jared Rivers to Port. Surely even with his injuries that he's had, he'd still have a fair bit of currency.. no?

Rivers, Bell, Pick 17

for

Thomas, Bentley, Pick 4

That's a much more likely scenario... but still probably no. It'd have to involve another team - its just the way things work in the AFL

Yes. I believe they are fishing for Didak too!

But if we are to be in the race for Pick 4. This is what I think we could offer!

Miller, Bell and Pick 19 for Pick 4 and 3rd round pick.

Miller, Davey for Pick 4 and Bentley.

Miller and Green for Pick 4.

Davey, Bell for Pick 4 and Bentley.

Davey and Frawley for Pick 4.

Davey and Green and Pick 19 for Pick 4 and Bentley.

Can any of these work? I would trade in a heartbeat!

or. player/pick35/pick 51. that would certainly do it. or two players and a pick

all i can say is that the dees will be dangling things out to see what they can do in an attempt to get another top 20 pick, ie last year with trav. i know we have 1.17, 19.. but ideally the club wants to bolster its youth stocks as much as it can. and word is that we will try to get another pick around 20

I'd be satisfied with pick 26 - 37 for Daniel Bell!

Bell had a shocker this year and I doubt the footy world's view on him at present is anything other than a dime-a-dozen hack. Unlike many I'm still hopeful he might turn in to an okay player, but at the moment he's beyond worthless. If we got any offers at all I'd be surprised. A pick in the 30s would be lucky. Pick 4 is laughable.

I aint obsessed! Just posessed! By the Demon within!

Let's not kid ourselves guys! The Demon's should be trying almost everything to get that Pick 4. Most of our list was a shambles for the 08 season. If you were at the games this season you would have to agree. Else your just kidding yourself! I aint saying they wont improve, but I am saying we need to get more kids from this draft. You cant be emotionally attached to player's in this game, but show respect! It's a business. And our business at this moment is to trade for picks that will get the best young kids available.

Bate and pick 19 or 17 would be the only way.....

Bell.... haha no idea...

Do It!

I would rather 2 players be traded for there pick though. I would like to keep 17 and 19 if possible.

I dont think Bater is rated as highly as we think! Time will tell. Do your stuff Bails! You know who cuts it and who does'nt!

Surprise us!

Nasher, I don't give up onplayers as easy as many, I'm probably more conservative than most about giving players time to find it. BUT, Bell's tolling loudly for both him & us. I've been waiting for him to come good for the last 3 years, but he can't.

He should be traded, hopefully for a good return for him & us. late 2nd rnd - 3rnd.

Good luck Belly.

Rivers, Davey and Bell for Pick 4 and 22.

Rivers, Green and Pick 19 for Pick 4 and Bentley.

Bell and Pick 35 for Brent Reilly.

OR

Didak to Port, Pick 4, Green and Pick 35 to Collingwood, Melbourne Pick 11 and 46?.

2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin
