Melbourne versus Bulldogs

From what I gather, Minson made a sledge to Kane Cornes about his team having about as much heart as his 2 year old son....who has a heart defect. Pretty disgusting IMO. Also considering Kane had just had a 2nd son the night before, he did well not to let it set him off. If I was him I wouldn't have been able to hold myself back from smashing him into next week.

That is [censored] poor by Minson.

Not for one second should anyone give Will credit for an apology.

there's some things you can't take back.

He should be publicly shamed.

And its kind of surprising, he's always come across as intelligent and articulate.

He has joined the Chappell Brothers - Paul Collingwood "Things I wish I hadn't done on the sporting field" club

i knew mclean wouldnt be playing this week. the only reason why he could play out the last quarter is because he was given an injection. this will help our chances of getting better draft picks, just a statement of fact.

Hang on.

What Minson said was awful but it was reported Cornes retaliated by having a go at Minson's father who passed away. Both players got personal.

Minson, as he should, regretted what he said and went about making amends by apologising to Cornes, an apology that was accepted.

Most people (maybe your the exception Jacey) have said something that they regret. I think some credit should be given to how they act afterwards.

I'm sure he is ashamed enough.

I reckon McLean will be out for the rest of the year. Hehehe. I also think Bails will probably make way for just two changes. Whilst its still too early to tell with the weekend's break: -

I will say: -

OUT: McLean (inj), Bode

IN: Morton, McDonald

I also don't want to see Bruce on B.Johnson again, give it to someone young like a Dunn perhaps.

Im with you 100% here. Limited changes needed. Bode needs some time at Sandy, Morton needs to get back on the horse.

I dont know whether Petterd is ready to come back yet but if he is Martin is likely to get the chop, although id prefer to wait until the following week.

I guess so. Would take away most of Bruces positive impact on the game though..

he's still managed to be pretty damaging across half back when playing on Johnson...

Dunn needs to play on Cooney. Will be his biggest assignment yet.

Out: McLean

In: Morton

I think Bode will survive another week. No one else really demanding selection at Sandy. Yze maybe?

As Bailey has said, he will reward form. Juice and Petterd have only just come up from the 2's. We don't need another tall defender. Bell and White are the only other real options.

Out - McLean (inj), Bruce. Bode

In - Morton, McDonald, Newton

B - Whelan Garland Bartram

HB - Wheatley Warnock Green

C - Morton Jones Buckley

HF - Bate Miller Davey

F - P.Johnson Newton Wonaemirri

R - Jamar Valenti Sylvia

I/C - Dunn McDonald C.Johnson Martin

Time for the Juice to return, and see what he has learnt in his time off. Bate, Miller, Syvia have been doing great, but we do need one more legitimate tall forweard down there to really even thing sout.

NMorton and Junior to come back in.

Time for Bruce to have a run with Sandy. This will give our kids moe of a chance to assume some responsibility in the midfield, particularly Jones, Valenti, Dunn, Buckley and Morton. Also I wanna see Garland get the job on Brad Johnson.

Bode omitted, that should be a no-brainer.

har har, Y_M man is totally [censored] for Brucey.

Brucey is our mos versatile player we have, being able to play virtually any position on the ground. He is asked to do something different almost every week, whilst sometimes the dispoal lets him down i have nothing but resepect for a bloke picked up out of the ammo's in round 5 of the draft.

And you've returned, once again, taking the bait and looking even stupider than he does (once again  ).

I might not agree with everything Y_M says, but realist, i can't stand reading your emotional rants. Stop taking everything Yze_Magic says about Bruce so personally.

That is all.

Here's the report on Daniel Bell from Sandy:

"Daniel Bell played a really good game at half back. He beat his man and had 23 possessions. He was really strong and physical in his attack on the ball. He ran hard and gave us some good drive and rebound off half back. In his first game back, he had a really positive impact."

May be just the match-up for Welsh, who he towelled up when we played the Crows last year ... Daniel Bell's best ever game.

Jesus. Give up for christs' sake. Your hatred of Bruce has only really become a big thing this year, and he's been playing well...

Stop polluting sensible threads.

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. Once again the club’s top goal scorer but he had a few uncharacteristic flat spots during the season and the club will be looking for much better from him in 2025. After sustaining a torn ACL in the final match of the 2023 season Jake added a bit to the attack late in the 2024 season upon his return. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. The first round draft pick at #13 from twelve months ago the strongly built medium forward has had an impressive introduction to AFL football and is expected to spend more midfield moments as his career progresses. 2024 Player Reviews: #42 Daniel Turner

The move of “Disco” to a key forward post looks like bearing fruit. Turner has good hands, moves well and appears to be learning the forward craft well. Will be an interesting watch in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #13 Clayton Oliver

Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. He carried injury right through the back half of the season and was controversially involved in a potential move during the trade period that was ultimately shut down by the club.
