I've pondered this question for a while, it might even warrant it's own (pay out) thread, but: Has any assistant coach under Mick Malthouse succeeded as senior coach? It seems all/most of the Clarkson proteges have done exceptionally well. I'm sure i've missed a few (particularly early days), but have any of the Malthouse understudies made it? I realise there will be assistants who have spent some time under Mick as well as other senior coaches, so I'm really thinking of those where Malthouse was the key influence. To start with: Watters, Neeld, Buckley. Feedback appreciated from those across the Malthouse assistants. Thanks

I want Salem back in the team but not as a defender. As good a player as I think he'll be, I don't think he'll ever be a great defender. It's been mentioned he's been playing in the midfield at Casey. Can anyone elaborate if this is still the case?
