Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Do you work for the AFL by any chance?

Shane McAdam v Jack Martin
I recall we had a crack at Martin when he left the Suns. His interest in coming to us hovered around zero. I think that was fortunate.
-
Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
I think CIP inferred he did have an interview and he was well behind the others, so he bowed out with appropriate flimsy excuse.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Hinkley would be perfect for Tassie! The AFL are dumb fools.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
We landed Pert without going through the process. We need to go through the process.

2025 AFL Premiers Poll
As a back-up, perhaps you could rig the vote so that any vote for Collingwood returns a 0 (just in case some poor, misguided fool makes a mistake.

For Sydney Based D’Landers or Those in Sydney Late August or Mid September…
Dees can't have helped with keeping you sane this year HT. All the very best with the gig and the treatment. It sounds like a great line-up with your crew. Wish I was in Sydney for it.

PREGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
I would have happily given Billings a farewell game if he wanted. It's not like his form doesn't warrant it. I suppose Sharp will be the sub after his ripping performance v the Hawks [censored]

Not sure you'll find too many posters satisfied with the midfield. Not sure why you even asked. My point or question is this: Why is Jones the target for all the midfield blame? We know that Radford was appointed first and Jones later and for other reasons as well. It's therefore reasonable to assume the seemingly anonymous Radford has seniority over the less experienced Jones. In my mind the problems with the midfield are one of cattle, strategy and skill level A - The cattle 1 - three bulls as starting mids (one shell-shocked, one un-fit, one wrecking ball) 2 - At least two of them are serial bombers without adequate endurance 3 - The game has gone past using bulls exclusively B - The strategy The fact that until recently we have persisted with this set-up (apart from utilising Kozzie plus others sparingly - Langdon etc) to me suggests it was a directive from Goodwin rather than the mid coaches - but that's a guess. In my mind, there's only so much you can do with that same set-up. Now we seem to be seeing and trialling a lot more players in the midfield thank [censored]! C - The skill level Clearly, a team-wide issue and looks to have seen Choco out the door We'll see how the midfield coaches fare when the new coach takes over but I think it's safe to say one or both will go. I just don't get why Radford escapes the scrutiny in the blame game.

Maybe you should look up who the midfield coach is when taking pot shots.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
It's highly unlikely the club can afford to pay out both Goodie and Richardson in one year (Richardson also has a year left on his contract). They wouldn't have enough over to pay their replacements, although I'm sure some back-ending of contracts would occur.

Who was the other player to where gigantic shorts? Was it Eddie Betts? Maybe it's a tribute.

Simon Goodwin Sacked
This has struck me as bizarre too, TD. The only plausible reason I could conjure and it's a stretch, is Green, for some reason might feel or believe others see his presidential stint to be a failure if Smith took over early. The problem with that theory is, no one's really sure when Smith is supposed to take over. I've read he's back in the country and will take over at season's end (ie. after next week) which was planned and makes sense. Others say the season's end is after the draft yada yada and that Green wants to or had planned to stay on until then. Who TF knows what's going on. I also find it odd that he gets prickly about being called an interim president when that's exactly what he is. Wierd

Yep, I'm not suggesting he is but that's how it reads.

IMO she also intentionally or otherwise puts Goodwin in the frame for leaking in the article

It suggests that Green wants to hold onto the gig even though Smith has returned home. Suggests Green acted on Goodwin deliberately before Smith got home. Implies that Smith came home to assume the presidency and that Green doesn't want to give it up until December - but is happy to give it up then as planned. States that Green, Agela Williams, Richardson and Chippindall went to tell Goody and that Green and Williams were asked to leave after a few minutes, but the others stayed longer. They were then asked to leave as Goodwin wanted to be just with his family.
