PRESEASON TRAINING: Friday 22nd November 2024
Roger Mellie replied to Satyriconhome's topic in Melbourne Demons
Thanks for all the pics @gs77. They're rippers and much appreciated! -
My intention was to crop out the vicar/psycho, but I've reached the limit of my abilities.

It's more Franciscan Monk look to me:

Roger Mellie replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Trade, Draft & Free Agency
Kudos to anyone who can sit through this [censored] until Pick 83 tomorrow night. Kill me now -
Assuming we keep 5 & 9, who are you picking?

Ambitious -
I don't recall Chris from Camberwell saying anything deep or reasonable ever.

I'd be happy with any of the top 5 picks leaving out (Ashcroft) for our first pick Lalor, Smith, Draper, Langford, FOS 2nd pick: Allan, Hotton, Tauru, Hynes, Berry preferred ahead of; Lindsey, Smillie, Reid but really happy with any of them TBH Pick 83 NFI: Cochrane, Dennis, Salzburg, Andrew, a JT Special -
Welcome to Demonland: Xavier Lindsay

It's a vibe drawn from Goody's 'it's all about the contest" vibe. So, yeah vibes, -
Welcome to Demonland: Xavier Lindsay
Roger Mellie replied to adonski's topic in Trade, Draft & Free Agency
When JT was on Gettable, he said we was off to a meeting with Goodwin and other members of the coaching staff straight after. I can picture Goodwin saying a determined 'No' to Lindsay, Smillie and Armstrong at that meeting. -
I'm hoping Richmond completely shut up shop on their draft picks and there's pandemonium tomorrow night. It would be fun (assuming we aren't particularly impacted). Go Tiges! The icing on the cake would be a Silvagni howler.

It looks to me a policy of Brisbane's, to send their good NGA members down to Vic for their football schooling. Pub test failed!

I'm tipping he gives away absolutely nothing!

PRESEASON TRAINING: Friday 15th November 2024
Roger Mellie replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm expecting Sharp to fill the Nibbler role. Bust a gut all day running up and down the ground, high pressure player, defensive forward as needed when not slotting goals. Chin will be a variation on that with maybe more link up play and creative forward entries 🤞- 218 replies

You could also have a ping at them for disallowing the Samoan kid, Tairon Ah-Mu as a Demon NGA. Discrimination works kinda
-
Their home strip looks like a training jumper and there away, looks like West Coasts. They should call themselves the Gold Coast Bland

Thoroughly agree and can only hope that one day, the AFL sees the merit in 'less is more'

Yes, like I said, a commercial disaster. We'll make money in Round 7 v the Tiges if their supporters show up, Round 9 v The Hoikball Experience and Round 13 v the Pies. We may make some coin v the Dogs in Round 22, maybe not depending on the time slot. That's 3 (or 4 at a stretch) games out of 24! That's royally [censored]! The 'we deserve this line' doesn't wash with me at all (not your line by the way) when you see the ongoing leg-up to certain clubs. Just a huge bugbear of mine as there are ways to make the draw fairer for all clubs.

or, 79. Someone no ones ever heard of -
Carlton and Hackball

You were right. After our first year out of the finals, we are North Melbourne. All late games on Sunday (pox) against interstate sides (double pox). Back to Gee-hole and Marvel

Financially, it's a disaster for the club

2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Roger Mellie replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I find some of his/their player comparisons odd, but assume they have to run with current players. -
Adrian Dodoro Wins Trade Period Once Again
Roger Mellie replied to adonski's topic in Melbourne Demons
"Essendon had offered Dodoro a six-figure payout but that Dodoro was asking for a substantially higher amount" Lol - no doubt he's seeking a reward commensurate with his startling achievements. -
Demonstone's ROOMBA (Run Out Of More Brilliant Appellations)

No Jeffo in the forward line? Picket Fence will be livid!
