  1. I'd have him in if spud Brooksby's playing. Otherwise no
  2. Agreed, the only thing this club is owed for is Lumumba
  3. Yes, like Lynden Dunn, but Kent's specialty is more the push and shove between play.
  4. It's games like these that the players should get a spray before the game so they wake the [censored] up!
  5. Don't think it's quite that simple
  6. There was the discussion on SEN a couple of months ago, where it was stated that one of the main (if not, the main) impediments was the north south thing. They know depending on where a Tassie team is located, they will automatically lose the support of the other half of the state. For as long as this continues, there wont be a Tassie team.
  7. We also have to see out the season, not fall in a pathetic heap 2 or 3 weeks before the end.
  8. The interchange bench is listed in numerical order. It doesn't mean necessarily that Melksham gets a gig - if that's where you're coming from.
  9. That's my understanding of it too. The umpire even signals his intent to back into that area. If Sloane pushed Vince into the umpire, then it should be down to him. What I cant fathom, is how tf Guthrie got off.
  10. Absolutely no chance. There will be a token minute or two on his football career. He might even mention he played for Melbourne. It will be about his gambling addiction, as Febey's was about his alcahol and drug issues and Balls was about snotting Terry The Tan Wallace. It shits me to tears. It's the same format every time - brief mention of footy career, then Mike apologises for revisiting whatever the controversy* is or was, or promises to just briefly touch on it and that's it. The whole show is then about said issue. They then return to the player's football career in the last minute of the show, if that. *There are, of course, former players who see 'Open Mike' as an opportunity to draw attention to their issue/cause and rightfully so, but there are others who would like to be remembered for their footy.
  11. Very droll OD!
  12. Yes, no doubt they've put in the hard yards to move up from the Development League
  13. It also explains Goodwin's vision a little and to why he persisted with the players he has for as long as he has. What I cant decide is, if our lapses in concentration/attitude is a result of a young team, trying to put it together or is it something NQR within the playing group (or enough of the playing group to drag the rest of the team down). Take Adelaide for example. They maintained a fierce intensity for six weeks and then dropped it like hot scone v North. They expected to cruise to victory and took the team lightly (hoping feverishly that this happens this week). This is not acceptable but predictable, whereas with us, its par for the course. We seem to do it every week - ie play with earth shattering intensity for parts or sometimes, most of the game before literally dropping the ball. They didn't come to play against Hawthorn and had to try and fight back. Against Freo, they thought they could take the 3rd Q off. I'm not sure if the reason is they cant maintain the rage or that they're just not big and strong enough to put it together for a whole gam. Or it's laziness (or being easily satisfied) or some combination or other reason. We're never going to smash sides if the players decide to take a breather with a handy lead (Freo). The times in games when they were playing hard and fast footy and had it all over their opponents (Richmond, Geelong), only to not hit the scoreboard. What does that do for commitment to the contest? The article showed great insight and shows we are close to putting it together but, for me, the maturity of the team (physical and mental) is a big (whopping) part of it.
  14. Adelaide, at home, after that loss? I think we are no chance.
  15. Lever's put off contract talks until the end of the year, so it's a start. I don't think we'll be alone in pursuing those two.
  16. Drafted in 2009 and has just clocked up 100 games. In the last 5 years he has averaged 10 games a year (including finals). Don't doubt his ability, just his capacity to get on the park. I N J U R Y P R O N E
  17. I remember him, but only the red hair bit.
  18. I'd rather a GIF of his six (should've been 7) points.
  19. I get the call for JKH to be out but you can see he's unpredictable with the footy, plays his role and is hard at it. It make sense the coaches are trying to give him time to hit his straps. I wouldn't complain if Stretch replaced him though. Other than that, Jesse can come in for whoever if, and only if he's ready. Tyson was a bit better this week as was Jake the Shake.
  20. Exactly! To me it says the club is being super cautious regardless of his positive medical assessment
  21. Recently the club announced his recovery was faster than anticipated, which is great given our recent wave of injuries.
  22. Let it not be Frost. His rucking is like doing amateur long jump with one hand in the air.
  23. Hmm, makes me think T-Mac to the ruck and O to the backline.
