I think we have a contender for someone smoking better stuff than Bangkok Demon!
-
Of FFS, Jurrah ahead of Rockliff was a flawed mistake amongst others but because of his wow factor, Dees fans chose to forget this one! He lacked the workrate to make and consistency to make it at AFL level
-
Sumich stayed at Meth Coast for so long because he was no threat to Worsfold! I will be kind by just saying I along with many others in WA football don't rate him!
-
I said earlier on in the "Time to go Mark Neeld" thread, we should not limit ourselves to a former coach, yes I understand it is a big task and they call for experience but it does not mean another person could not do just as good a job. Woosha is not tactically gifted never has been and has an inability to change during games. Scotty Burns and Philip Walsh I understand are the tactical brains at Meth Coast. Good win comes with big wraps but so do all potential coaches. Alan Richardson has also been around a long time and been close a few times like Hinkley some say his time has passed but you never know Whatever we do we must have a panel who leave no stone unturned, take the time and get the process right. I am not decided either way on new or proven I just want what is best for the club
-
Your right there Redleg, we went with the naturally gifted players as opposed to those who have mongrel and have had to work for everything they get. Makes a big difference when they step up to the big league
-
Fitzy has been consistent and probably earned his spot now at the expense of Big Max who was down yesterday Strauss comes in for Terlich who will be a loss with his effort and attack on the ball Pedersen for Sellar because he is more mobile and should be given the job on Roughead IMO, Sellar was good against Richmond and it's only a change for match ups Rodan in for Bail who is clearly devoid of confidence and Ins: Fitzpatrick, Strauss & Pedersen Outs: Gawn, Terlich (Inj), Sellar & Bail

My mail, which I'm assuming is what Iva's possibly alluding to is the decision to Move Neeld will be made early this week and he will coach his last game against the Hawks. Source has a 60/40 record so whether concrete or not we will see.

DEMONLAND PLAYER OF THE YEAR - Round 9
Pennant St Dee replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Mckenzie (put effort in which is something a majority need to look at, his & Nicho's shortfalls would not stand out as much if some other players put the effort in neither of them are any worse than Matt DeBoer, Adam Selwood, Brad Dalziell or others on AFL lists who are surrounded by quality Mids) M.Jones Terlich he will be a big out if broken ribs confirmed Trengove N.Jones he is all heart and god he would be a great asset in a good side Howe a must keep for this club -
The club needs to sort itself out off the field in the next two years and show positive signs or we will lose this kid. And I promise you I'm serious!
-
I think we need to cut him some slack BRFE, have a look at his assessment on this thread compared to his assessment re Hogan vs Danniher, both assessments appear to be polar opposites to me.
-
Weren't you the one who quoted on another thread re the Dogs, where you slated our list, not to expect to much from Hogan because we can't develop kids! So don't expect to much but he is going to be better than Danniher who in your words will be a superstar.

So did Phil Krakouer and boy could he play!

I'd love to get hold of Shiel & Hannaberry to our club along with those we already have

2013 UNDER 18 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Pennant St Dee replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Blake Acres from WA is your Vlastuin type and will slide a little in the draft due to a shoulder injury ruling him out of the u/18 champs. He was to be WA captain and played last year as an under age player. Will go Top 30 and could fall to our second pick with a bit of luck -
Spend a week on Dland without reading "Time to go Mark Neeld" posts

Young midfielders/small forwards not getting game time
Pennant St Dee replied to DeeSpencer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Viv Michie very highly rated at Freo and has been playing top quality football at WAFL level, is coming back from bad injury and they have nursed him back slowly( in a similar way to Taggert by us) so highly do they rate him -
Sorry Stuie got distracted with the kids while typing but I think you finished my post for me, I meant to add he (Watts) would be the link up player in this system/gameplan, what would also assist in this would be a second option of a player with great pace running into the hole provided by the forward leading up to the wing. We have Blease but need another 1 or 2 in the squad. Anyone know Rohans contract status
-
I attended my first Dees game for the year live last week and saw Dawes lead well with purpose and on a few occasions mark it 60/70m from goal but had to take time to reassess with no big target to kick to. I thought if he and Clark were in the same side quick transition from half back to forward would be very realistic.
-
He is, I think without using the exact words to spell it out, when after the GCS defeat Jackson in response to being asked would Neeld be sacked, he said No he will coach next week against Richmond. Hardly a glowing response or endorsement of trust or faith Neeld has to do something special to keep his job, those of you thinking he is doing irreparable damage are kidding yourself, history through the VFL & AFL tells us otherwise Players achieve nothing now by making a decision to move on in 2014 before the end of the year, If Neeld is to pull something special out of the fire obviously something special will have happened between him and the players If he moves on the players will wait to see who the new coach is before making a decision, we are not talking about GWS $6 million deals anywhere here
-
Norm please take your sanity somewhere else, I thought Pies fans were lacking in intelligence but some on Demonland are giving them a run!
-
Because people previously at the club and Jack himself have to carry a large portion of the blame for how it got to that stage
-
At last some sanity prevailing The day of decent journos is long gone, it is no secret most of what they get is from club fan forums, Player agents are not stupid either and just play the game
-
Yes it is wrong to ever wish for your team to lose, that is how the list management saga was born! I want to see the same level of effort brought by the players this week, one things for sure Freo will always bring effort I want intensity and dogged determination for every contest I want to see every Dees player walking off the field having left everything out there after having a red hot crack Whilst I want a win I want to see all of the above and continuous improvement each week
-
That is not what he said Stuie and you know it
-
The only one I have seen live is ACRES and I rate the kid, he would have captained WA had he not injured his shoulder, he finds his own footy and uses it okay but then again WAFL colts is hardly pressure cooker stuff so it is really only at finals time or senior exposure you can judge this. Will be a good pick up and think along the lines of a Vlastuin type who will play off a HBF before developing a tank and getting more rotations through the middle. From what I have seen via footage I like Billings and Aish looks to have silky skills and very good disposal
