  2. Whats more important to me is that someone smacks Tom Scully. Theres no school like the old school.

I too am an old 'Ology user. It was fantastic, i was one of the 1st to sign up and old days were great. I moved when I found myself wanting to meet people just because i found them so rude. Other than the Racing Tips I wont miss it.
  4. Best game by Joel Mac all year.
  5. My nephew played at Torquay for a couple of years. Boaks father Roger won a couple of B&F's there and has the grandstand named after him IIRC. You would think Geelong would have the inside running.
  6. I would move both Watts and Garland. Put watts in the back pocket on a small/medium forward and play garland on the wing.
  7. Bringing in the sub early always has an effect on the last quarter. This in part explains the exhausted efforts in the last.
  8. Too true. Wardy could find the footy and cover yardage quickly. He also wasnt a bad kick if he had time. What he couldnt do was run fast and compose a decent quick as well. Out of bounds on the full a fair bit IIRC. Chris YarrAn (and Mark Murphy for that matter) are so good because they can spot someone up while going flat tack. Hard low passes lace out while at full speed is what we want with one Sam Blease.

    Colin Sylvia

You are right. I dont think he should be playing either. But it is worth looking at the issue in that light. I know Glenn Lovett would play with injuries to his hands or back and it would frustrate me to hear "supporters" give him a bake. But sometimes a class player is left to make the call. And i would prefer to think that they are making the call for the good of the team. Not always, I accept. Jimmy and the Ox fer instance...

    Colin Sylvia

I agree. I take the view he has said he will play even though he cant even get a finger up his ass to pull it out (as some suggest). He broke the small vertabrae close to the spine and will be stiff for months. You only need to look at the vision of how he did it, by crashing into a pack, to see that he is not A-OK. Im a bit disappointed in some posters views on this. I guess Ill have to get over it.... There are plenty of others to burn rather than those ACTUALLY injured and playing like Col and JT. And let me add, for those who say youre 100% ok if you go out there, what F%%&ing tripe. If the coach says he needs you to grin and bear it, what choice do you have? LJ's choice? Sorry coach I could do with a confidence boosting run at Casey. Thanks pal.
  11. Who would you say is fitter, col or jurrah?
  12. Watch Davey chase. He accelerates in the last second to get a touch on his man without affecting the opposition disposal. When kicking under pressure he keeps his head down when he could be eagerly looking upfield. Small things but Its not how he used to play. He seems to not want to win. We have had great value from rookie Aaron over his career and it may be injury or a mindset that fans dont know. I believe his efforts are half hearted (which is better than some others 100% efforts) and the team sees this. Well I reckon they do. Moloney doesnt seem to leave it all out on the park either. I would drop both and bring in Couch and keep trying Blease. But Colin Sylvia broke vertabrae in his back, give him a break. He at least puts his hand up to play in the ones unlike others.
  13. Many people have had a new boss who instills change and suddenly you find yourself one peg further down on someones list. Or you have that perception. It is easy to slag off to some-one you trust and sometimes it comes full circle. Most of the time the circle gets completed once you have established a working relationship and got on-board. You privately regret the conversation. It sounds bad but it is common. It is unfortunate but this is not a disaster and the player should be given the opportunity to put this behind him. It will blow over in a week.
  14. I thought he was quite emotional and the crew backed off (and glanced at each other)when they saw he was close to spilling over either with anger or dismay. I thought others here would see it as well so maybe I misread him. Im not anti-MN. But I wasnt happy when asked if he had insulted the senior players by exclusion to the LG, and he replied it wasnt only his decision. In retrospect he was saying that that little gem was handed to him when he signed on. Again my ongoing reflection of 186 needs a Warren commision.
  15. Claye Beams tagged Moloney. Possesions: Beams 25, Moloney 12. A hard tag? i dont think so.
  16. Well other than the fact that most contentious situations in life are not totally black and white, you could be a judge.
  17. I think it is worth noting that St Kilda sacked Andrew Lovett early because of team mates refusing to play with him. They were also prepared to be witnesses against him. As well as that, the charge was clearly an indictable offense which would require a jury. Jurrah's matter is being held in a Magistrates court (at this time). There is no reason at all to hold up his career until after the case. Its just a pity for all concerned that the proceedings cant be brought forward.
  18. Two good series are Touch (only 2 episodes so far) and Awake.
  19. Funnily enough i was ok in front of the family watching Channel 9's eulogy Wednesday night until Gary Lyon came on. He's got soul Gaz.
  20. Im wondering if he is actually in the wake. Is that Ingo above Steven (whom I thought was Mouse)?
  21. Thanks for everything you did for our club mate. What a man.
  22. I agree WYL. It has gone from a superstition to a Claustrophobia for me.
  23. I like to see players defending the mark rather than standing it. I like to see our players putting pressure on the opposition standing the mark. I like to see that when we get a mark or free on the wing, players are unbelievably in the forward line and they actually presented an option. I love this... I expected to see less skill delivering the ball by foot, due to 'get it, kick it" strategies. But nup I saw skill. The dog still ran outside thinking i was yelling at him not Big Steph, but thats OK.
  24. I honestly reckon Joel McDonald shows very little. But Ive thought that for a while. I was surprised no one has pointed him out for criticism. His tentative attack makes me believe he knows he will stuff it up if he gets it.
