Fritta looked classy in the inside drills where you need to get through the pack. Good sidesteps, and strong. I was quietly impressed with Kilani when he did a short stint at FF in the drill where a handball comes out around the 50M line and kicks short and hard to someone leading wide out of the goalsquare. He was quick to lead and had good hands. It was wet and it was a fast tough drill. As he is touted as a back or a ruck I thought he did well although I have to admit, there was no opposition.

I'm impressed with the drill kingy is running at Southern end. Contestwd ball to someone outside then from 50 hitting a short pass to a forward. Last year it would have been a shot from 50. Mellky and koz still going long. Quite a few struggling with hard low accuracy.

I am hoping for a good result either way but: 1) plenty of players play 150 games and dont make a big difference, Tom Sparrow is nearing 100. 2)I really tried to understand Axis' X and Y but Im not Sharp enough.

My understanding is next years draft crop is going to be deeper and of a higher standard than 2025. Then in 2027 Tasmania comes in with 5(?) of the 1st 13 picks. We currently have our own F1 and Suns F1 for next year. There is growing anticipation of this years draft. At 7+8 it seems to me, all if not most, of the very best will be gone. If WC and NM (and Maybe Ess) are as keen as Ive heard rumours, to have more picks this year it would seem a good idea to swap our 7+8 (and possibly GC F1) for their 1st pick 2026. I realise many here would like to eat their cake this year. But a few A+ players including Humphrey, Butters and King may be in the mix as well as some gun youngsters next year. We can do swaps Draft night and I believe this would be the best result for Dees.

I came across Jake and Max training by themselves a week or so back at Harry Trott oval while I was walking the dog. They had been at it for a while it seemed. They kept doing repeat 200m. sprints until almost collapse by the look. They had just enough energy to give me a thumbs up. Both in top form.
