  1. I am going on the track watchers Foopy about Tmac. Looks set for a good season on his training so far! Basically we both agree about his need to be at CHF. He is a beast really in man on man and pack situations and gives off so much to the other forwards.
  2. What are you talking about? Half a season !!! He has been training since Day 1 before Cmas. Like before 2021 he is doing extra to try to ensure he is as fit as can be. The track watchers have already indicated he is looking and performing back pretty well and he is doing the running part really well. You have chosen to recall his poor recovery in 2020 after his leg issues in 2019. And completely forgotten his excellent contribution especially the first two thirds of the season to our Flag in 2021. Also last year his form up till he was injured was again very good. As most smart Demon fans have realised our forward line missed Tmac's marking, competing and Body work which enabled our smaller forwards ( and Fritta) to capitalise on his presence. No doubt we would have gone further had Tommy been playing all year. He will be special for JVR as he starts his career this season and assist his development no end as well as star himself again.
  3. And??? So strange that Tmac is AGAIN like prior to 2021 doing everything he can to be his best in 2023 to help win another flag!! Really strange this??? Amazing Well done Tmac!
  4. Agree DZ I always felt that was a hit in the head between our eyes he did only a ONE year extension. No problems then with Riv Kossie and of course JVR who looks totally embraced by his time at the Dees. I can't wait till hopefully Round1 to see JVR Brodie Lachie and if Schache makes the team it will be some opening. Dogs have similar new recruits in Robb Jones and Sauce Baker who I hope plays but don't think he will.! So it's a big test for both teams with Sean Darcy to continue his career in the backline most likely. This' continued rivalry keeps on giving so 50,000 plus at the G is the minimum that night!! Bring it on !!!
  5. Please explain your "coach to leave" comment DD. I have no way of understanding your comment as truthful sensible or smart.
  6. " Big adoring one eyed crowds" you say what about the figures of crowds in 2022? We were fifth for the season much more than Port! Ports away crowds are pitiful so they are not good for him as you say. we will do every thing possible to keep Kossie as we are nearer a glad than Port also. Kossie has played in front of 50,000 about 12/15 times.with us Port hasn't got that crowd unless a showdown.
  7. Correct DD but ANB Spargo and Sparrow are all in this together. The trio should have been dropped to Casey at some stage/s and will all have to contend with Chandler Laurie Howes Bowey JJ AMW and Seston surely in 2023. I'll be surprised if one or two of the new breed are not at the end of year in the team in the Finals competing after breakout years. I reckon Chandler and Seston and ANB will be the players in the 23 and giving us a whole new look forward line with JVR and a resurgent BBB and Tmac. Laurie is the other one to watch the new slimmer faster forward dynamo.
  8. Schache is not a HB flanker maybe you are thinking Back Pocket? He may need to just train hard and fit in a team way to get selected in any position. Let's hope he can become a real surprise packet any where for us. No doubt has ability like Weid but needs to produce !!
  9. Sounds like you are the one who wants to go to SA Forkem!! In fact if you don't like the following why stay here and barrack for the Dees?? 1. Premiership 'player in 21 and still closer than Port for flag starting in 2023. 2. Love MFC, Coaches and all the guys here are great teammates on and off the field. 3. Get to play in blockbusters at the G In at least 6/8 games per year. 4. Am making a very good living at MFC. Tell me Kossie doesn't like the above. 4 points.
  10. Agree but not picking 2023 teams on 2022 or 2021 form. Just pick on 2023 form and replace and watch the team do a 2021 version again.
  11. I believe Maysie has invited Lachie to an introductory dinner at Entrecôte !!!
  12. Jacko Will only be remembered a Freo star as long as he plays like one and is in their inaugural premiership. OTHER wise his cameo at the Dees and GF relevance will be part of our folklore and his career.
  13. I feel JVR must start in Seniors early ( in Melksham's place) and give us a difference on the forward line. one of ANB Sparrow or Spargo might have to make way for Chandler or another half forward running type Turner /Tommo might play important role in defence if Petty (in desperation or in cameo roles) goes forward. Depth is greater so pressure on all players on the list to make the best 23.
  14. Great points D4Life, Some extras mow( bonuses), Also Salo Rick Trac and BBB plus Tmac back and all will have better less interrupted and much greater fitness ALL season especially at the pointy end of the campaign Coach and Selectors will be more flexible and choose players on form not sentiment. ONE of Chandler AMW Laurie Schache or the recruits Jeffer Adams Seston or Verrill will play and make the Seniors grade probably as a 23 selection. No last half fade outs as players are all fitter and not played "nearly fit ". So much upside for a team that finished 2nd on ladder and similar % to 2021 with very hard Draw. Bring 2023 on!!!
  15. Agree but Gawny to go back a kick behind the play like he used to. Changes in game plan plus forward line and no injured players selected by Goody
  16. Just reread like you did the Fixture and take it all in!! No comment necessary as you will surely pick something more mundane and irrelevant in your response!
  17. JVR does not need to go back IMO with Turner Jed Adams developing Tommo available and fitter this year after his first year following ACL And Tmac could extend his career by going back IMO. Also Schache might grab the spot.
  18. DD I amazes me we have JVR ready to debut and MJ starting on his training wheels plus Tmac BBB, the resting rucks Petty and Adams who has played forward and the Schache about to erupt at his new Club. oh and Fritta best medium forward in the game. 50 goals plus every year. Why do we need another tall forward???
  19. Not sure some of this reflective pre Cmas research is bringing any real groundbreaking "pretty wild" events to alter our Cmas menu as a result on the 2023 season. My comments on your comments are that none of this is "pretty wild" in a 23 round fixture involving 18 Teams. Lets put it back a trifle to a much more mundane level that won't interfere with our concerns on this fixture ! 1.We haven't played Crows YET with a crowd likely but not a often event! 2. Given ours and the Blues win/ loss records since 2011 is this a surprising event playing each other in the major "Prime Time" Friday hi after all this time? 3., 4., 5, 6 are all "first time" events none of any real significance in a major fixture where we are the major player participating now since 2021. 7. And 8. Hardly newsworthy playing Swans in a 3.20 time slot SINCE 5 years ago and Eagles on Sunday arvo THREE years ago. 9. Bulldogs at MCG in front of a crowd on Sat night at the G since 2014 is not momentous when we have missed only ONE game scheduled due to Covid restrictions. 10. First time doubled up on playing North and Carlton since 2017. Ground breaking hardly! I am sure one of our eagle eye D/Lers could come up with the counter claim we have played so and so 4 times out of 7 years which is more revealing and newsworthy. In reality the D/L ers that have a grip have on first read on our 2023 fixture picked out the following points/facts which concerns us more which I have listed. A. 25 the times drawn to play vs Cats at the Cattery in 32 years since AFL in 1990! B. Similar style of record to A above playing both West Coast and Adelaide in Perth and SA since turn of the century and at MCG about 4 times in same time period! C. 5th or 6th visit to Blundstone Arena as away team in last say 8 years. Cwood never scheduled in that period nor Bombers also I believe.(As a comment on this I reckon when ( and if ) Tasmania make their Brand New Stadium debut in Round 1 in 2026 or 2027 it's about certain that the Pies and/or Bombers will both be the first 2 sides scheduled to get maximum bums on seats at that venue. Not us!! That's what makes me "pretty wild" but I mean angry though. D. What's even wilder I think that for the 5th year in a row we finish the H and away season to play interstate or at the Cattery IN R 23! These A to D facts are far more testament to weaknesses in the Fixture of the AFL as I reckon an average researcher could pick out your points for EACH Club in which is a consequence hardly ground breaking or "pretty wild". Any one up for that task? PRIZE Free ticket to see Tassie Devils play the Pies in Round 1 in 2026 at the Beaut New 23,000 Stadium in Hobart!. D/Lers HOP TO IT. Sorry Kangas no more Tas Govt games handouts. Is Arden St available for blockbusters again any more?
  20. Can understand your reluctance re Junior tickets and prices etc. but you lost me when you are not happy GFG doesn't provide a reduced price to your ticket. Reason is the GFG is a MFC initiative and GF prices are AFL prices for Finals tickets!
  21. Because I got the GFG three or four Years ago with a General Admission and have paid for it ever since. I haven't asked for any change since also.
