How come we looked good as a team vs Tigers with the very players in McVee Chandler Laurie that could have been tried last year. Admittedly McVee has improved markedly but we looked good without Viney Fritsch and Salem. Would have bought more vigour than some of the banged up and tired players in the second half. Goody didn't even use the sub for heavens sake. SC and Goody especially wanted to win b to b with the same 23 again!! Something you can't do and some players were never placed on the edge for their position and asked to improve their form. Interesting now that we have no choice and our hands are tied but the Grundy and Hunter recruiting is a great addition, let the role players who are fit now support the stars. There'is no delusion it's real tonight we are a better team in positivity and spirit and health six months on. Much of the negativity and excuse was around due to no player/s developing during 2022. You need 3 changes each year to improve a team so we need 6 by seasons end to make up for the inaction last year. Too much concentration on what some guys maybe haven't got than what they bring to the table to support the other 20 who are all AFL stars and premiership players. Talk about rubbish let's get some facts straight and four quarters played by fit and hungry competitors. That's not saying none of our boys didn't try either all gave of their best but circs didn't allow us to beat the odds with an injured tires group.

The longer we analyse the issues for non attendance the weaker the excuses become for our fans as it doesn't affect other Clubs fans. The technology has ena bled the Mship tickets to be scanned at the gates now so no excuses there either, A bit of realism and club loyalty is what we need occasionally.

You are aware that patrons don't need to prebuy Seats any more in GA areas. Also it's different in MCC I believe although $10 is being charged to each member I believe for a reserved seat. So you don't know how many MFC members have switched back to the membership card for entry. This was the big point made by MFC members especially aged ones against going last year. Totally agree The baggers of Tmac do not understand the forward line structure and role playing and his one per centres and skills at footy that make him such a valuable and irreplaceable player on our forward line. 2022 proved that.

You're criticism of Tmac is wrong. His first half last year was good 15 goals in 10 games and he always ( you obviously don't notice) leads and prevents the CHB dominating plus all the smaller forwards cash in as a result of his competitiveness. Team games are that and Tmac mss add Jed our forward line a strength as indicated by our record when he plays. Tske off those blinkered glasses and also Spargs and ANB play team roles yes some more goals is required from all our forwards but their fitness is better this year and the more we play good players that need minding it will help all the time we enter with improved plans and style. Like in 2021 we will get the job done with new old and refreshed players on our forward line. Max and Brody will both need watching.

And I picked him up on his answer re consistency but he has explained he reckons it was only about kicking which I would accept, but definitely not about his form overall. Clarry is the very model of consistent form for all others to be judged against.

Thus would make for a Tmac to backline and Petty to CHF or FF if this happens again.

ANB Will only get mid time if he is playing well. He played back to his 2021 form vs Tigers in the prac game.

Vast underestimation of an AA and his skills. He is not generally cumbersome and is quite good below his waist. Also must have been a real off day for Brodie. Remember he is coming off virtually a full season out. Thank goodness he looked good contributing vs Tigers. Hope you agree? . Rivers was injured then rushed back with his bandage on nearly all season last year and has started 2023 with plenty of vigour and speed adapting to his new cameo role on the ball promisingly. Has great potential ( Think Yeo of WC) in this role and his penetrating kicking could be a real weapon. Agree with you re McVee.
