  1. I'd like to think I'm generally a glass half full man myself - but just looking at the results of "we lost by less than a kick" misses the point that we were 6 goals down to the blues before we even scored a point, we were 35 to 8 in front of GWS at qtr time before completely losing momentum - and we only kicked 7 goals in the game vs Port, in what was a good pressure but pretty ugly game of footy. My view is we weren't where we needed to be in all of those games, rather than not far off. The Brisbane game is the only one I'd say we could look at as a genuine 50/50 that we lost by less than a kick.
  2. I believe the last all interstate grand final was actually in 2021. Remember it fondly.
  3. Trac to Sydney for Grundy, Jordon and a future 2nd round pick?
  4. At least I can tell my grandkids I was there when Jack Billings kicked a goal for the dees.
  5. The very fact that he's lasted 11 years in a cut throat industry is testament to his character. The flag is testament to his contribution. Best of luck with his future plans.
  6. If you have these posters on ignore, how do you really know they're long gone?
  7. The bloke is a true blue (and red) ripper.
  8. Everybody seems to have forgotten that we signed Jordy Lewis on a three year deal when he was 105 years old. Worked out fine except for the 2018 prelim which I can't lay squarely at his feet.
  9. Based on the above, I think somebody should issue a warning that the upcoming off-season has nothing to do with the quality of jokes. It feels like you were all getting in early. PS - did anybody train?
  10. To be fair, Hunter played his part in our flag triumph.
  11. With both Daicos brothers and it almost gets done. But if they chuck in the yank I’m barracking for someone else.
  12. In spite of OMAC and Sam Frost
  13. I’d think that if we had a 6x AA ruck playing against a ruckman with 1 arm; Oliver should have been trying to make space so we could win a game defining clearance.
  14. This is a great idea. Winner gets greater probability of #1 draft pick through lottery/similar to avoid tanking. Not a fan of the og proposal. I don’t think it’s fair to have 7-10 placed teams play potentially 2 additional games to a top 4 prelim final opponent.
  15. That’s definitely a stretch
  16. Send both of them an email and check the laptop 3 days later.
  17. Except that you'd want to sub him on 10 minutes into the first quarter.
  18. Love this. Especially remove the insufficient intent rule. F’ng joke. Either go back to the way it was and throw it in (my preference), or be like soccer and the opposition gets the ball every time it goes out.
  19. Because Optus Stadium is our fortress* * Ignoring WCE result this year
  20. At least there's a good test for the dees in each of these last 6 games. If we do make the 8, we'll be hardened and ready to go.
  21. As much as I don't like umpire 22, I thank the lord he's no Dean Margetts.
  22. I figured Disco made contact with the head on the follow through after being tripped, therefore outside his control, and the action which initiated the free kick.
  23. Loved how he flip flopped between Essendon controlling the game through possession to over possessing the ball, with them playing exactly the same footy
  24. Watching and getting frustrated by Ben Mackay mark everything behind the ball gave me a solid understanding of how all oppo fans must feel watching Gawny week after week.
