  1. Kossie started strongly, I like seeing him up the ground a bit more; getting amongst it.
  2. Fondly remember the image of Treloar sitting on the bench in 4th qtr of the 21 GF looking like someone shot his dog
  3. Maybe bub, but I guess I’m saying you’ve got a list of roughly 45 that the senior coach needs to nicest his time into each week.IMHO, he should split the list into top 15 players, middle 15 players and bottom 15 players. The bottom 15 players are exclusively VFL, the top 15 players will never get dropped bar injury, and the middle 15 players are the group that Goody should spend 3x the amount of time with over the other two.
  4. Agreed Adam, but this is the pointy end of the retention dilemma - he is the 23rd/24th player and we’ve got to have ongoing focus on looking after our best depth or we become weaker as a result. Mistake might not be quite the right descriptor, but we need JJ to feel in an ongoing sense that the FD’s development of him and his opportunities to play are better than a full time role in an inferior team.
  5. We need 26-30 really good players to win a flag, losing JJ would be a massive mistake. He was next cab off the rank in our winning GF team. Our club has been brilliant at identification and attraction of talent, if they can capably navigate retention of top drawer depth then we’re in very good shape
  6. Clicking like on this felt like I was signing a petition to get him in
  7. I felt sorrier for the [censored] wearing blonde wigs and looking stupid as well as disappointed.
  8. If the Lions didn’t have a complex about trying to win at the G, I reckon they do now
  9. That’s an odd thing for a Biggie to say
  10. But it would have been a great opportunity to throw the coin at him as hard as she could
  11. I thought you were going to go with “he’ll get the suns shining”
  12. My problem with the online betting platforms is how easy it is to get access to the kids and get them hooked. Walking from the station to the ground on my last trip to the G, my boy and I were behind a group of high school aged kids who were bragging about their status in a 9 leg multi. It was quite alarming. We try to make it hard for kids to access vices that can impact their development until they’re old enough to make responsible decisions, but this for me is a significant gap needing closing.
  13. You’re fast becoming the new Wiseblood Adam with qualified optimism like this
  14. Haven’t been keeping up with the news, is Clarry far off a game?
  15. Agree with all of this. Especially the bit that Tomo was a bit stiff.
  16. I resemble that remark. I’ll leave it up to you to guess which one
  17. They all played before champion data became a thing
  18. Suns having a very off day but still tracking towards being a decent footy team. Reminds me of us circa 2016. Pumping up the bluebaggers tyres is folly.
  19. I’ve picked Brisbane to win, but geez I hope I’m wrong
  20. I think the makeup of the side could look like this: Forwards: Key forwards: Fritta, JVR, Petty, Smith (in place of Spargo) Smalls: Chandler, Neal-Bullen, Kossie Resting Ruck Mids: Ruck, Clarry, Trac, Viney, Langdon, Hunter, Sparrow Backs: Key backs: May, Lever, Tomlinson, Hibbo Distributors: Salem, McVee, Brayshaw Emergency: JJ The forwardline setup can vary with three smalls, or two smalls a resting ruck/Petty and JVR/Smith leading up the ground as linkup options. It's not unreasonable by any stretch to drop Spargo for Smith. I reckon Bowey has to come in for either Brayshaw or Salem, tough call.
  21. Pretty good representation from the Melbourne players' perspective. Not sure Tom Mitchell did anything of note, not sure why he'd get a vote.
  22. Let's leave Mount Buller out of our own threads eh Jaded?
  23. Maybe you could take a hit for the team and contract a virus around finals, take your mate out for many beers and let him sneak a man flu in to his workplace.
  24. I reckon we should ask for a please explain from the AFL for Lever being paid a 50m against in the Anzac Eve game for carrying on behind the mark, and the Collingwood player at half time for Trac’s kick after the siren doing the exact same thing for no resultant 50. Really poor.
