Jack Davey
I reflect back to 2012 and the club was on its knees, was why I started my membership journey as a contribution lest we lose the club altogether. And in my member feedback surveys I’d comment we were irrelevant. This makes me so proud - the club isn’t just sitting on its hands counting up the members, they’re an integral part of our community and giving back in spades. Relevance personified. I hope the Davey family have a rare day in the sun and the boys play out of their skins for them. Well done MFC.

PREGAME: Rd 09 vs Hawthorn
For us to win this one by 40+ as some optimistic posters believe, I reckon we would need to hold them to 6 goals for the game. Can’t see that happening but I’d love it.

I love Kossie too. Can we clap at the 36 minute mark of the first quarter for him too? (I also love this initiative for Clarry)

How about the AFL come out and explain why this wasn’t paid the mark FFS.

TRAINING: Thursday 1st May 2025
Richmond included practice games in the Balta ban, so they must be valid!

Whilst I don't have Disco and May at the "same same" level, and we looked shaky late in the game last week with May on the bench; I guess in some respects you pick the team against the opposition you're facing. Given the eagles only have Waterman and the young Archer Reid as their two key talls, I guess this stacks up as a strategy. Having JVR in as a second ruck option def has merit and good to reward his good form last week in the twos.

If this were to happen binnie then I'd be questioning this move - atm we have May, TMac and Disco as the three key defenders and Petty, Fritsch and Melksham as three key forwards. Removing May from the equation leaves us IMO a bit short defensively and congests the forward line - unless we moved Petty back which I'd be loathed to do.

news‘Disaster’: West Coast players hold ‘intervention’ amid g...Leaders of the West Coast playing group have reportedly held an “intervention” in a bid to turn around its woes after the worst start to an AFL season in the club’s history.Didn't really read like they're galvanised. More rusted to pieces.

Thought WCE in the highlights package from last week's game really dropped their collective heads. Their first three goals which was pretty much a half of footy was based on two mistakes from Hawthorn and a long range effort from Waterman. I'd like to think that if we learn from their past games we should be in front far enough at 3QT that our last quarter fade outs hopefully won't be a factor.

He was brought in to replace the injured Melksham

The Next CEO
From my perspective, the CEO is running a $60 million business as well as overseeing a $30 million future fund and a further $9.5 million funding for the Caulfield project. He has a team of GM's and managers that oversee day to day management of the business from delivery of the football program through to sensible investment of the future fund to generate returns and overseeing project delivery for Caulfield including stakeholder management. I don't need a CEO that can run a sub 8 minute 2km time trial or kick off both sides of his body. I need him to ensure his team feels empowered, has all the resources they need to succeed and hopefully delivers an operating profit at the end of the financial year.

Xavier Lindsay- Round 7 Rising Star
The way they protected Ginnivan when everybody was at him as a flopper playing for free kicks, only to turn on him after he left for Hawthorn was hilarious

I heard this a couple of years back in the top deck at Marvel, and have even rolled it out myself as well. Agree it never gets old He other one I heard and liked was in a day game when a bloke yelled out “turn the lights on, I want to see more of this” (wasn’t this year!!)

That's definitely not me. I'm the guy critiquing the umpires "That's not a mark" "That's not 15" BALLLLLLLLLL! "You've got to pay them both ways" "FFS" "There used to be one umpire who's doing a better job than these 4" Kosssieeeeeee! "They need to get rid of the insufficient intent rule, that call was b*[censored]" "Kick a goal son! How good was that!"

Don't disagree, but how good did the forward 50 zone look last week with just Kossie in it?

GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond
Hoping we build more confidence in the new game style and really take the game on. It was great to watch last week, and we could really get on a roll with further belief it's working.
