  1. You don't need to add the kick in the guts picket, and I hope TC plays tmw as well.
  2. I wonder if Custer was standing at little bighorn thinking to himself that this is a Custer [censored]
  3. Expecting an honourable loss while the team adapt to the new game plan. Don't think this will be a 186 per the doomsayers. it was clear last weekend that they were hesitant with handballing and not playing instinctively, unsure of whether they were executing the right option and as a result there were some disposal shockers that landed in no mans land and putting the would be recipient immediately under the pump. I'm heartened we're sticking the course though, even if this is tough to watch at the moment. If you look at Hawthorn this time last year they were a rabble too. We might win a couple more games playing 2023 football, but we won't go far. I'm hoping an injection of pace this week brings a bit of confidence through observed positive results and we're off and away (even if we don't get the result).
  4. Hello dark mode my old friend
  5. Arsenal had a 2-1 win overnight, are the boys taking any learnings from that one?
  6. With a Lingers and now a Langers, this is going to get really confusing.
  7. They put more and more of these s**t football shows on TV making it harder and harder to avoid watching them whilst you're simultaneously trying to avoid excessive adverts. Thank god for streaming. I can recommend "The Residence" on Netflix which is very good.
  8. There’s a difference between adults only and unwatchable Brownie
  9. Lucky we're not playing interstate. They could have gone with Blakes on a plane.
  10. Whilst I agree with the sentiment, I hope he does turn in a blinder and have the selection committee ask some hard questions of themselves.
  11. Maybe so. However, I'm not sure TMac was in the team for playing in the forward line - I suspect Lever was doubtful and Tom was insurance. If Disco was dropped, I'm not sure that Lever's omission is the reason to bring him back in. Especially if it's going to rain with swirling winds 35km/h. I'd have the 4 key forwards (1 interchange) as JVR, AJ, Fritta and Melksham. Mentha for sub for me (as much as it pains me for a debutant).
  12. Great idea on the donations. I've just chipped in a pineapple so Andy and Nasher can share a beer when they're next at the G. Love the upgrade fellas. Job well done.
  13. That's the conundrum, isn't it. I'd take TMac in defence with Petty and May over Disco. Can they bring in another non-emergency player? Because if it's out of Howes or Mentha, I'm probably taking Ricky.
  14. I plan on actually going, which I presume is also live.
  15. Maybe something to do with his kicking efficiency?
  16. I'd urge everyone on here to watch the Netflix documentary "The Turnaround" which is based on a baseball team in the states that bought in a high profile, high cost player that struggled, and was copping it from fans at the ground and online and continued to struggle. One fan started a movement through social media to give him a round of applause and positive feedback every time he came out to bat, despite the fact he wasn't playing well - and he responded by fairly quickly rising from his slump to lead the league in hitting home runs and took them to the finals. It's a good watch, with a good message. We should be mindful we've had a one-off bad game at a venue we don't play at often/well -> I'd like to think any players who feel they're struggling, reading social media comments (as I'm sure they do) don't get too down on themselves and perpetuate their form lines - perhaps how we frame our thoughts might have a part to play (not saying you have to be a happy clapper). Looking forward to the team lifting this weekend and having an afternoon in the sun.
  17. Whilst I'm not blaming the venue, I hope we never play at Marvel again.
  18. For a man whose posts I read intently, this one didn’t age well Dz
  19. There was another game at the g around 3-4 yrs ago where we lost by 3 points when Maxy missed a shot at goal from the top of the square. Might have been R1
  20. I’ll take a favourable draw with some less than ideal game timeslots
  21. I was entertaining clients in a corporate box in Perth watching Freo play Sydney. Free alcohol will help
  22. Swingman. lol.
  23. The big sign announcing it to the world is the opposite of sneaky!
