  1. Gabba sold out some time ago according to my pies supporting mate from Brisbane. Should be a good game. Except for the country roads song
  2. This might have occurred as a result of him pulling his finger out. I'll show myself out.
  3. Sounds like he injured his hand at training rather than carrying the injury from the weekend
  4. Great summary Jack, as ever. I did have to look up peripatetic. 3-1 would be an excellent start to the season. Congrats to Viney on his 200th.
  5. Lever may and May may not.
  6. Loving your insights @Webber, really gives additional confidence on club/other feedback. Thanks very much!
  7. I noticed the experts at Fox predicted the pies to finish the H&A season 20-3. That hasn’t aged well.
  8. AFL would be delighted I'm sure that 8 of the top 10 players from interstate clubs.
  9. I thought Chandler's first goal on the weekend might have been just beyond his range, just outside 50; but he made the distance quite easily. Never happier to be wrong!
  10. I learned my lesson by going early on Kate Middleton.
  11. It could be either: (a) the club got an excellent rate on hotel rooms for the week, saving money given Adelaide hotel prices for Gather Round (b) to effectively deal with jet lag (c) to allow time for a barossa valley tour (d) all of the above
  12. I know kev suggested Smacca would be back likely Anzac Eve, but I'd love to see him debut against the Crows and kick a bag.
  13. Not a Dees player, but I reckon Trent Cotchin. A sniper with immaculate hair.
  14. But he didn’t have to play for the next 20 weeks in a row afterwards
  15. Nice on Fritta - loved it when he outbodied Sicily to mark and goal in the last qtr, who went down like a sack of spuds
  16. Not that I’d ring a radio station to discuss it, but this is my viewpoint on Cody Weightman
  17. Loved Maxy’s hand pass to a wide open Spaz in the forward 50 who goaled, and Max nonchalantly ran to the bench (for less of a cheer than Clarry or Trac got)
  18. But the video did stipulate peace time TIm, and the boer war was still going strong in 1900.
  19. I fondly remember us beating WCE there in the 1988 elimination final (I think it was) by 4 pts or so. Garry Lyon kicked a beautiful snap to put us in front with 40 secs to go, then WCE streaming forward from the next centre bounce, only to kick a point and lose (not that any of us noticed this part, we were all still celebrating Lyon's goal).
  20. I'm sure there's an AFL sanction in place for anyone who gets this wrong.
  21. As long as she doesn't try to get a game off the back of it.
  22. This is exactly the point that Robbo is missing in comparing a bung knee to concussion. Gus's decision was effectively made for him by medical experts, and we don't want either the AFL or the footy club concerned to attempt to exert influence on any such decision, given the invisible nature of the injury, based on commercial factors like carrying the impending retirement within a salary cap.
  23. But the disputed ball was on the goal line - and the kick off line (top of the goal square) is 9m out. So I'm not quite sure what you're saying here jnr.
  24. I know you come from the old school of "he doesn't play for us anymore", but I for one (goes with my username) was happy to see him getting a kick and continuing his career - I think we got the best from him, and moved him on at the right time. His kick to hit up fritta in the grand final was not only the best kick I ever saw, it was the start of a massive turnaround in that grand final.
