Lord - you have much influence!

With that in mind Wonaeamirri is now officially Wonawkiheza3hget8LOL.

Davey Weetra and Bode out, in come Rivers, Frawley and Moloney for me. Doubt they'd bring Wonawkiheza3hget8LOL straight in, be a pretty tough initiation - he played against them in the NAB Cup but this is 10 times faster and harder than the mickey mouse competition.

They've been spelling it like that for two years, you'd think they'd contact Brent and tell him he's not spelling his name correctly.

Another thing that shits me is every week Robert Walls says Adam Fiora. Her name is Princess Fiora.

Heh, poor bastard, that's a bad nickname to pick up.

Wona will definitely play as he was elevated to the senior list

He would have waited otherwise ( in case of injury )

Simon Buckley, James Frawley, Austin Wonaeamirri, Cale Morton are my picks for the bench. if davey doesnt play it will be moloney methinks, as he will play in the centre.

i agre that aussie will be straight in. given sandy are playing port melb this week (and are thus restricted in the number of melb listed players) you would think that aussie would only have been elevated if he was gonna get a game.

or if some one can correct me here, because i have assumed that rookie players dont count in the melb 12, but perhaps they do.

Complete agree with that bench. Would've prefered to see Maric in action but oh well.

Good to see Frawley being called up after i literally just last night started the thread asking why he wasnt playing :P

Rivers strengthens the backline soooo much. Hopefully he is fit now and doesn't break down again. Best line up we've fielded for a while I think.

So Aussie to cover Davey. Moloney, Buckley, Morton as midfield rotations. Frawley as back up KPP. Normally there's a ruckman on the bench but both are named on field.

And yes people it's Moloney. And PettErd. AN E PEOPLE. PETTERD.

Good luck spelling Wonawkiheza3hget8LOL's name though

i agree with a 5 man bench too, all the help we can get!

I am no fan of Jace Bode. He evokes in me the same feelings I felt watching Luke Williams kick sideways all the time. BUT - last week he was one of the few who tried to work hard both ways. He was one of the few who led towards the ball carrier in an effort to provide them with a target. He is an ordinary player at AFL level IMHO but he is very stiff to be dropped this week.

OUT

Weetra, Bode, Garland, Davey

IN

Wonaeamirri, Moloney, Rivers, Frawley

Garland and Dunn would be the toss up, i'm sure.

Don't risk Davey, not in this game.

Moloney would kick DB in the mommy-daddy button if he can't play this week.

Wonaeamirri showed more in the NAB cup than Weetra. Valenti very unlucky though, but I have an inkling there will be list openings soon.

Bode is tough but slight, and where is Petterd? Without Rivers and Petterd our backline has the average IQ of a Nepalese mountain ferret.

I think Morton and Wonaemirri will play. For balance, I guess one of Frawley and Garland will play, and I'd prefer the former. Moloney'll be keen to get a gig against his old side.

I liked Buckley's courage to run - regardless of the missed targets - but his defensive running was very poor, and for that reason - and not anything turnover-related - I wouldn't mind seeing him dropped. That'd give CJ an opportunity.

I saw two matches. I can't remember much of 'Aussie', but I was pretty unimpressed by Weetra's form.

Why's that?

Bucks better not get dropped in my mind, he has been on of a few that has tryed to take the game on, sure he has made some mistakes but hell its not all his fault. He needs as much game time as possible and he will become our speedy midfield superstar we have all wanted for so long.

This is the conundrum that Bailey faces. Does he persevere with players of average ability who follow his game plan to the letter, or play players with natural ability who can't fully grasp his game plan?

At the moment we have very few players with natural talent who can grasp his game plan. Hence the floggings.

i agree.

at least he has the courage to break the lines and try to be effective, rather than players like dunn, who run around in circles even when he's got the ball (which isnt much). Hes too good to be playing for sandy.

by the way, anyone know what the situation is on juice Newton?? is he injured or dropped?? he's not THAT bad...

B/ Had row with coach [unconfirmed rumour via demonland reports]

C/ Showed little with Sandy last week [demonland reports]

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
