Bravo Paul Gardner for your comments.

Maybe Jeff Kennett should head a charity group "Beyond the Truth" or "Beyond Redemption".

Also Kennett might like to give us his opinion on the AFL drugs policy and his club's attitude and policy toward the "3 strikes" arrangement. There buddy system might not be working as well as they think.

A tick for Eddie for also rebuking Kennett.

Jeff Kennett should say a big thank you to the corrupt Tasmanian premier for his inflated profits. Almost $3m of their $3.6m profits come from that extremely questionable deal that the majority of Tasmanians think is an utter waste of money. Then Kennett has the nerve to piss on our clubs as a result of this BS transaction. Keep your mouth closed Jeff, lest you end up with a foot in it.

Nice work by Paul Gardner on this one.

I was wondering if the Shed's comments would go unchallenged. Seems PG and Co arent going to be rough shod anylonger. Good for us. Thanks Paul.:)

was soooo glad to see Paul stand up for our club and tell stupid Kennett where to go !!!! Well Done Paul and thanks!!!!

Gardner said all clubs received AFL support in some form, including help to build new stadiums and hold blockbuster fixtures.

Nice to see some truth being stated about all of this.

It is nice to see Gardner standing firm and not allowing us to be bullied.

Congrats to Paul on a great retort.

jeff is just a typical liberal b#$&*d, they never tell the whole truth, only the truth they what people to hear, for example they forget to mention that in Menzies time the interest rate hit 22% but home loans had a government CAP of 13%,he is the worst liar,

Show me a politician who does tell the whole truth!

BTW if interest rates were capped at 13% why would I give a flying fig if they are REALLY 22%? I applaud you for your research though (or outstanding memory)

It will be interesting to see our annual report in December, from Memory the boards goal was to be debt free by the end off 2008, I wonder if we are still on track to acheive this.

If I was a Hawks supporter and my club was making profits I would be screaming about playing 4 home games in Tassie, I was [censored] off that we sold 2 last year. I couldn't care less if the club makes a small profit or a 3mil profit as long as I get to watch them live in Melb for 10 home games and 6-8 away games and hopefully in 2 years 11 home games I rapted. Saying that though it would be nice to boast a big profit once or twice.

I know i few people on here feel that Paul should be help accountable for our dismal profit this year but i've always liked him and i'm glad he stuck up for us because i don't want the president of our club to shy away from a fight (verbal of course).

Kennett has always been outspoken so i'm not surprised to hear him make these ridiculous comments, but if i was a Hawks member, i would not be happy about us having to sell these games in order to make such a profit. I was finding it hard to deal with one at the GABBA every year, 1 at Canberra still isn't great but it's an improvement.

The day you can make to those profits without having to sell four games and make a sponsorship deal with another state is when you can gloat Kennett.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
