I agree, and i dont understand the theory behind it either. What use is the car to them after its been thrashed around by a 20 year old P plate footballer for 12 months anyway. They'd do well to gets half its original value on re-sell. They might as well just give him the car or at least donate it to charity or something.

And to think that he almost didn't make it past Mark of the Week after it was a "tie" between he and Staker.

The voting system needs to be changed.

Not only does it favour the clubs with more supporters, but a club like West Coast would (at a guess) have a relatively younger demographic who are more likely to vote for such things on the internet.

Well done Newton

I'm absolutely stunned that Lloyd's goal won it. While it was a good goal, even i would be able to kick it with a bit of luck

So many skillful goals this year. Players snapping from impossible angles, kicking banana kicks from outside 50, dodging one, two and three players before scoring, and they pick the goal which any 5 year old with a bit of luck could pull off

OH bugger bugger bugger.

I still haven't paid my 'Newton Pledge'.

I owe $50 to someone, somewhere.

If any mods know what I should do, please post or something.

 How embarrassing.

You cant download the donation form here ... Pledge Form

It is important to remember to write 'Demonology/Demonland' next to

your name on the form, so the club can tally our donations.

Interesting - why would you guess that WCE would have a relatively young demographic? I'm not taking a pot shot, and I have no idea whether you're right or wrong. I'm just wondering what made you think that would be the case...success in the 90s plus a young club?

It's a guess.

Like you said, the fact that they are a young club would have seen a big rush of young people jump on board compared to a club like Melbourne who are more likely to have "generations" of supporters.

Either way, West Coast still have more supporters, young or old.

Without doubt, premiership success is a catalyst for young supporters to follow your club.

However, when WCE started it had a monopoly on the WA players and supporters in a football mad state until Freo came into the competition.

What a champion. I loved the first game against Essendon, always showed promise and improved a billion throughout the season. well done mate

What makes it impressive is the fact that he won it in just his fourth game of AFL football.

That's huge. What a thought eh? Although it's worth considering he had his debut 3 years after he was recruited...

I wonder what the record is for least games, or yougest player to take MOTY?

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
