That team looks pretty good from here :) !!!

From the team prediction thread

In - McLean, Bate

Out - Frawley (inj), Moloney (for god sake put him on ice before his groin is ruined for life. He is nowhere near fit and is having no impact)

Still no Bruce? Could be season over then, we surely have to leave beamer out for the rest of the year.

Hope Bate has his sticky hands again and can takes some good marks.

I have a feeling that there will be a late change, and ward will come in.

On Sen today they said licca is doubtful, buckley will play for williamstown, didak in and fraser out.

You've certainly got that crystal ball working for you this week YM ;) !!!

looks like a good team to me...

i'd still like to see buckley get games at senior level. he was BOG for sandy last week as well. he shouldnt be playing for sandy if our season is over and he's good enough for afl level. the more time he gets at afl, the better it will be for him next season.

but other than that is the best possible team we could have considering injuries (though i prefer PJ over jamar)

they wil miss Fraser...damn shame !!! :)

Out: Simon Prestigiacomo

Excellent news for David Neitz!

I think McLean might be a doubtful starter, but overall that is not a bad team.

Hopefully Buckley in if that is the case...

Would love to see Dunn line up in the square for the first bounce

Agreed.

I'm disappointed Ferg is playing, but I guess more than two changes to a winning side was always unlikely.

EDIT: Ferg might be okay providing the 'chop out' to Carroll and Holland - he's got the courage to back pack into a pack etc.

lol, what a crappy team

rusling and pendlebury will be very underdone, i dont think didak will be any better

their rucks are crap too

big bag for the neita man, no presti!

Now please, leave moloney out for the rest of the year, we have nothing to lose! It's depressing seeing him struggling out there...

But "Didak will add some much-needed firepower" (Herald-Sun).

I think there is every reason for concern about Moloney's future. 2008 is a make or break year fitness wise. Its bad luck for the bloke.

This is the first time all year they have got selection 100% right!

Yes Ferguson and Jamar should be in the team. Yes Moloney should be rested.

I can't wait for tonight, Neitz will take Wakelin to the cleaners and I'd like to see how the battle of the young guns goes Newton v O'Brien and Jones v Pendelbury (if Riley has a sense of romance)!

Dees by 6 goals.

Sylvia is not far behind this too, Why is it we get players with great talent and they get career restricting injuries, The footy gods hate us

Don't trash talk the footy gods. We need them tonight.

Can't loose Neita's 300th

In fear of my life and reputation for saying this, i wouldn't be totally distraught if Ward came in for an injured Mclean.

I really want to go all out for the win and Wardy played very well on QB keeping Davis out of it. If ward wasn't to play the role would probably fall to Bode. A great experience for him but a little worrying at the same time.

Actually your prob right.

Bode is young but I feel more secure playing Ward on Davis instead of Bode, Davis could win Collingwood the game off his own boot.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
