Extra tough call this week, for the best of reasons.

6 Chandler - reached new heights.

5 Gawn - Our Mr Everywhere.

4 Steele - provided midfield grunt.

3 Langford - many good touches.

2 Kozzie Pickett - some magic moments.

1 Everyone else (except perhaps Petty, master of the brain-fade).

And as a regular critic of Tholstrup, I take it all back.

6 Chandler

5 Langford

4 Langdon

3 K Pickett

Didn't get to see it all, but I'm loving the spread of votes and seeing some unfamiliar names on the list. Sounds like a real team performance.

  1. Roo

  2. Koz

  3. Disco

  4. Spaz

  5. Langford

  6. Chin

I could never have imagined winning today without having Gawn in my 6. Steele very unlucky and more complete game than Roo, but Roo took a big step in his journey today. Sometimes being a forward isn't about having the biggest day, it's about kicking the goals when you need them to. Those two goals in the final quarter were huge.

It's Game Day and the Demons return to the MCG after a dismal performance in Gather Round to face the reigning dual Premiers Brisbane. What do expect to see from the Dees today?

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
