NON-MFC: Round 06

Wow .... Got some old farts lurking this thread.

Hard to see how nobody picked up on the behaviour of that young lad at Carlton prior to the game, let alone during it.

I thought Barry Bourke gave Hudson an all mighty shove in the back when Hudson led and marked just before half time and did his knee. Hudson’s wan on track to break Fred Fannings goal kicking record that day.

I was at the Glenferrie Rd end and knee-high to a grasshopper!

Just saw a clash and then out came the stretcher

And there's a record that may never be beaten ... Fanning's 18 goals. In today's footy? Unlikely

Anyone watched the gws behind the scenes that ch7 has been showing Wednesday nights after unfiltered?

I watched it Wednesday night & gee Adam Kingsley can give a good spray & it was interesting to see how he interacts with his assistants & he likes to use the f word a bit to.

I'll probably flick between the 2 games.

That’s an eight-part series called No Holds Barred and it’s fantastic. The behind the scenes stuff is really interesting.

I just watched the curtain-raiser here at GMHBA, VFL Cats vs Dogs and there’s a giant stick insect in the forward line wearing a Dogs jumper. Turns out he’s Sam Darcy’s “little” bro, Will, and he’s very good. I believe there’s a third brother coming up through the ranks. Darcy domination.

I mentioned earlier that with about 5 minutes left in the 4th, he was on the bench and he looked wired/twitchy. Looking back on it, how did medical staff not take him down to the rooms or something? It doesn’t make sense to me that so many people just missed it

Pick 60 so good luck to him and the Bulldogs

If he had family at the game you'd have to wonder what was going through their minds too.

Many a late pick has excelled. Just like many an early pick has failed.

Tipping the Dogs and Giants tonight

hoping for 2 close games

I WANT Dogs and Giants. I reckon Cats and Swans.

Man that long shot of the ground really shows how differently shaped it is. Looks so much smaller!

Dogs have to respond after last weeks poor showing.

i reckon they'll win this by 20 points

2 decades of the Cats dominating

Can they just GAGF’d?!?

and yes this is pure jealousy

I was there that day too and saw it.

Yes was just by the fence behind the goals, A very muddy ground i think, Did not see or remember a push but he went down and we were all pleased.

In retrospect perhaps an immature response, Now I am old and immature, go figure

Go Dees

The Dogs have one of worst defences in the league

How is Lobb on an AFL list?

they will never win finals with that defence

Hopefully GC give essendon a reality check tomorrow

If I know anything about Rock Paper Scissors, GC will win by 100.

  • PREVIEW: Brisbnae

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.

Melbourne’s much vaunted finishing power evaporated at Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon, exposed for the third time in four years by its Essendon Gather Round hoodoo.
