What is exciting about trying to kick around the body from 40 metres, really, that is horrible

He’s a beautiful drop punt too. Just had to balance up.

Back to Casey to do the fundamentals

Really concerning form from Langford and Lindsay.

Looks like we drafted the cousin of Kozzy

We are exposed in the midfield

Selection committee not picking a 2nd ruck is a disgrace

Good lord Xavier Lindsay is one of thr modt timid players going around.

Yep Scared as hell back to CASEY SOFT

welcome the melbourne demons Kingy. you’ve got a lot of work to do.

We just can't be this inept. Establish our floor and play to that bare minimum level week in week out.

Anyone getting that pit in the stomach where it is about to get really, really embarrassing?

Keep it under 90 plz.

This might get as bad as GEELONG debacle

Isn't it dry and warm in Perth?

It just has to be sweaty and we struggle

Petty back into old Petty form...

Those two first rounders from Adelaide would be handy right now

Woeful and nowhere near the level. Unfortunately there's nothing at Casey.

Bring May outta retirement?

WHY YOU YELLING FOR

keep your voice down !

Also how many goals are we giving them in red time

Honestly we just look so tired and cooked. Perhaps the very little match prep we have had is our undoing today.

Look freo are talked about as being up there & we're expected to finish bottom 4 apparently.

We've been given a reality check but we need to finish this quarter strongly

3rd

Kings notes …

Rivers fumbles turnover

Freo goal

Jiath terrible handball turnover

Freo goal

Windsor kick 20 meters miss target - turnover Freo. Voss miss (lucky)

Sparrow inside 50 kicks to … kozzzy!! Wtf

Bolton. Dees let him run and run into z50 (at him !!) Jiath had to close quicker.  Freo goal.

Dees running forward.   Kozzzy little handball to Langford - behind him !! Loose.  Very loose.

Steele.  Inside 50 kick. Just a bomb !! Not to any advantage

Freo kick inside 50 to space.  Freo goal.

Chandler kick inside 50. Straight to Ryan.

👍🏻pressure inside 50. Score through contest.  Sparrow good finish.

👏Gawn intercept mark.  Courage.

?? Chandler.  Rivers. Want the footy ???

Serong.  Windsor terrible poor tackle.  Freo goal.

Latrelle!! Running in 25 metres out.  Finish omg - kicks 15 metre to Freo.

Turnover.  Missed tackle.  Missed tackle.  Dudley goal.

Kozzzy. Not tackle. Goes to bump.  Hits Salem.  Not smart at all !!

Inside 50s

Freo 12.  Score 7.2

dees 14. Score 1.2   Bombing !! You know the method. Dumb footy. Turnovers and missed tackles and dumb footy.

Max cooked after 1 game.

Should of played 2nd ruck, or is our club still ran by players !!!

ouch, from the champion data feed

Fremantle has outscored Melbourne by 38 points directly from turnovers. The Dockers have scored 10.5 (65) from turnovers tonight, six points short of their season-high 11.5 (71) against the Bulldogs in 2025.

Are Langford and Lindsay ready for week to week football? Hasn't looked like it yet

Just now, whatwhat say what said:

ouch, from the champion data feed

Don't need champion data to tell us anything we didn't already know, freo ok, dees not

I thing Kings ethos of playing on instinct amd letting the players do their thing was good in theory. But we are playing without an identifiable system. Or Freo have easily picked apart our 1 wood and we left our other clubs at home.

Again I’m not totally surprised at the result, but I’m worried that there is nothing that stands out in terms of the younger players. Not one highlight . That is concerning.

Do we have one that's ready?

Our skills have been so poor today and our ball handling so sloppy. Freo a good side but I think we’ve made them look even better.

Good call. They look exhausted in the second match !! Skills also shaky. Not sure what happened over summer !!!

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

Melbourne’s slow starts have been a troubling theme for a while. Against the Suns, they started slowly in both of their games, they trailed by 5.7.37 to 0.1.1 at quarter time at Peoples First Stadium in Round 16. This season, the story has remained the same and if the Demons fail to shake off this issue against the unbeaten Gold Coast Suns, they will be in serious danger of capitulating once again in their Easter Sunday showdown.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
