Loving how pumped Checkers was both when Roo marked and when he kicked truly. Great to see.

So good to see Roo lead up and take a nice mark and kick well. Great delivery, good goal. Hope there’s more to come from the big guy this year.

from the preseason, not rucking in making a big difference

Definitely our brightest point so far, we're going forward without incoming bombs.

Great to see JVR finally getting the service he deserves

WHAT A GOALLLLLLLLLLLL

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💙💙💙💙💙💙

How good was that.

Latrelle Pickett also bringing good advice on how to make friends.

That's hilarious, do it again!

Welcome Latrelle, go you good thing!

100% makes a massive difference getting balls that AREN’T bombed on his heads

Lever needs to stop complaining to his teammates and turn around to pick up his opponent.

Kolt actually doing well on NWM who is having little impact. And his kick to Latrelle was brilliant.

Every time the ball spills to the outside, we are outnumbered. New structure taking time to settle.

CJ a solid contributor so far

Roo getting good deliver and kicking goals

Goodwin must be taking notes wondering what we did wrong last year!! 🤣

So good!!

The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Saturday Night’s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourne’s memorable premiership triumph.
