And shoutout Pickett Fence, I see the vision!

Every vid they put out, there’s always a couple of under the radar clips of Steele.

I think he’ll have a big role for us in 2026

Going from the training report today that was our longest session so far this preseason. Looks like Tommy Mathews and Sharpie are getting close as well both running and kicking.👍

I love how we are bolting inside 50 but also taking a look if there’s a player open for a set shot. I’m all for a player having a crack at goal but sometimes it’s okay to look for a quick option when you’re about to become under pressure.

Example -

Kozzy at 30 secs, Melks at 48 secs and Trelly at 1min

Interesting once Viney returns as can’t see both in midfield in same rotation but I agree I think he is gonna be terrific

Pace heading i50 🙌 The difference and what I’ve been going for for a LONG time is the angles, fed coming toward footy and more use of space i50 — exciting times

El Jeffo

10 hours ago, whatwhat say what said:

nice use of tame impala

Not to take credit (except totally taking credit) but on Wednesday I told Trent our videographer to keep up the varied choice of music because folks are appreciating it. I said something “alternative/Indie” would be nice. He chose Tame Impala which is fine by me and when I suggested classical music he chose Für Elise which is also fine… baby steps. I’ll have him using Sigur Rós in no time 🤣

Y’all are very welcome 🤗

Thanks… it’s either a shocking image, or my eyesight is completely screwed… I was trying to figure out who the additional indigenous player was 🤣

If that’s Jeffo, I’m Kim Kardashian

The down side is a good side will send it back quicker.

With our defensive game plan, and aim to play the game inside our 50, we rarely got beaten by big margins. I expect this to change. We will get reamed now and then while we adjust to a new plan.

Until he plays Grima I'm not impressed... 😄

Although the Decemberists would be a fun one for him to use.

Being that the average age of our fanbase is 95 I can’t see Trent playing anything you can come up with, Gorgy 😁

WHAT????? That seems unlikely... I mean, sure, the majority I listen too would never make it, but The Decemberists are an indie band and could easily do it, go listen to Eli the barrow boy or Hazards of Love Part 4, Summersong, or the wanting comes in waves.

Also I'm sure they could easily play The doors, Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, Dio, Dire Straits 😋

Basically revisiting 2018 where we were the highest scoring team but couldn’t defend well enough on counter with such a high speed attacking game style.

Highest scoring team in the league. Worst in the top 8 for scores against…

That was a great year. Beating Carlton by over 100 and Adelaide by 90 in consecutive weeks. The finals drought wins agaisnt Geelong and Hawks.

The queens birthday game was pretty grim. If we turned it over then the only time we would have a chance of getting it back was after a goal or a behind.

Rammstein would be fine for music....

With a new coach plenty of 1st rounders the last few years, a couple of trade ins, a surprise in Cully hopefully on the way and its pretty exciting.

.... and of course some younger players maturing.

Culley is not a surprise. He is elite.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
