Was into 29 last I heard.

30 now.

30 right now. Carlton and West Coast have picks that might get chewed up but most academy bids now will push it back. Probably ends up 33-35

Reckon Hawks take Greeves

No.... you haven't, but I'm sure Rivers, Sparrow and an ageing Viney will do the job!☠️

27 minutes ago, whatwhat say what said:

yes, those two midfielders led us to 14th two years in a row

they weren't part of the solution moving forward

steele brings experience to accompany viney, while the likes of pickett, rivers, windsor, tholstrup, langford, lindsay, etc. are the future

Understand & nothing against the boys they picked who both look good

Who do we want now with next pick?

The next Neitz or Schwartz or Lyon .. can’t remember the last gun fwd we drafted apart from Hogan who didn’t hang around

The media get so much wrong.

Yes, I’m quietly enjoying how so many so called draft “experts” have been so inaccurate with this years edition.

Also like that not many picked us to take LSP at 12, so at least we have stopped some leaking as well.

I also hope Latrelle wasn’t picked partially to keep Kozzie.

Does it matter if he was, at least in part? Both will benefit, and as such, the club will benefit.

I suspect it's because of the evenness of the draftees after the first couple and outside of the Academy and F/S picks. And given that evenness, that clubs are drafting for need.

Omg what is happening! We've just doubled our Picketts!

King should play them both in de fence.

Hawks traded 9 for 10 and 22 in trade week.

Trade 10 back with GWS for a future 2nd. Traded it again with WC for another future 2nd.

Traded a future 3rd to slide their second pick up.

I reckon that’s incredible manipulation of the draft.

They’ll end up with Nairn, Schubert, 2 figure seconds in a much better draft. We’ve got Latrelle.

With all respect, this was not the best choice. Hope he proves me wrong, but we had other needs.

What are those needs?

Are there better midfield options next year?

Will there be better small fwd options next year?

Who are our current small fwd options considering we need Kosi on ball? Who brings that fwd half pressure?

Who do we hope is there at our pick tomorrow?

Do we know what that pick will now be?

Hibbins-Hargreaves perhaps

Hard to cover all needs but we just don’t seem draft key fwds that ever work out

Is there some curious chemistry between Cal and Nat? Bit of bantar, almost awkward hostility between them...anyone else notice this? Do they not like each other?? Cal is a bit of a strange duck...the more important issues of draft night!

Nat looked like she should be asking us to pick from the round, square or arched window.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?

It was only a preseason match but the new look Demons spearheaded by new coach Steven King looked impressive as they put on a clinic against perennial cellar-dwellers North Melbourne as they cruised to an 80 point victory at Casey Fields.
