This is the bit that doesn't add up for me - our new coach has stated publicly he wants him to stay - Is he a flat-out liar ?

A lot gets said before and during trade week that isn’t necessarily true. He may well want him to stay but that doesn’t mean he will stay

No, I’m not going to chill out. You might enjoy having your chain yanked and your emotions played with, but I don’t.

We all love some intel at this time of year, and in the past it’s come from people with credibility and a proven track record. Sure, not everything pans out.

Here we have two guys with no track record talking about secret meetings, last-minute management changes, and final medical checks. Fantastic stuff. Two randoms supposedly have all this inside information that unlocks one of the biggest stumbling blocks of one of the biggest trades in years, yet not a single person in the media has caught a whiff of it.

All this would be front-page clickbait, but somehow it’s the best-kept secret that only two randoms on Demonland know about.

You might like to have your leg pulled for a quick hit of dopamine, but I sure as hell don’t.

Thats the state of play. Im a little confused as to why it hasnt happened. He has told the dees that he would love to play for KIngy.

I don't know the answer to that one either. My guess it GC is being resolute in their stance they won't trade him. He would have to come out by tomorrow requesting a trade.

Again if we don't hear from Lamb/Melb tonight the trade is on the rocks and that we are happy to keep Trac I don't see it happening. Have to be the first domino IMO

What happens when none of this pans out and none of these extra meetings, changes of management and medicals are spoken about.

Really - who cares?

I mean, other than you.

But getting into unknown territory. Steven May was 33 this year, and is pretty clearly not the player he was.

Any insight on the club’s relationship with Trac?

Sure, but the pretend chef has a contract in place, and our new coach says he wants him to play for MFC in 2026. Seems straightforward to me.

Last year I defended the pretend chef regularly on the basis that he seemed to want change (which was necessary imo) and basically off the back of that almost everything has been changed - presumably not the changes he was wanting so we find ourselves dealing with another tantrum this off season.

If there is a block feature, I invite those who don't believe to BLOCK ME instantly. For those that BELIEVE, I can only post what I have been told. That is all I have.

Someone previously wrote that the last time I logged on was 2013. Not sure if that accurate but I will take them by their word. I had nothing to add. Not the case now however.

Again my view, If the deal was as simple as Dees to get 7 and 8 and throw back a pick to help with GC academies, the deal would be done. This is NOT the case and I can categorically tell you we are still in play, well as from yesterday anyway. I don't know what has transpired today.

Had you mentioned that previously? I don’t recall you having done so, but there is so much to read here, that I could easily have overlooked it.

Will you please get back to work. I still haven’t seen that product sampling sheet yet. Is it done?

Unless I’m mistaken he has never actually said that. I’d love to coach Christian … I’ve got his back if he comes back … etc.

For me, he’s saying what he needs to as head coach and going out of his way not to burn bridges. Also talking the talk in the context of negotiations.

But if GC snared a flag or two with prime Petracca wouldn’t it be worth it to them, may not happen but we have the advantage here, sick & tired of getting pushed around

GC are a much better chance of winning the flag with both of them, hence they only want to give up picks.

Beyond repair you would imagine.

Maybe one day we’ll learn why.

I don;t think he would outright say he wants Trac to stay more like he's happy for him to stay.

and MFC have to maintain a certain public stance to support negotiations

we'll find out soon enough

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
