Looking forward to the behinds the scenes draft footage

Agree. Reckon it's the most interesting content we get from the club every year.

Refused to attend a private school because he hated the private school boy tag.

What's not to like about this kid!

Oh [censored] yes!

From memory, Harvey Langford said a similar thing.

Bit funny they ended up at Melbourne given the stereotypes we get

I wonder if the other clubs commented on the tatt when they spoke to him.....

Are you saying a backman at 192cm can’t play against a 193cm forward?

lol

tom stewart is 190cm so i guess he'll never hold down a kpd role

The comment about him winning "best on field and best off field" did make me clutch at my pearls I must admit 😂

I didnt bother checking him out as i assumed the tigers would snap him up. I just assumed he was a jake lever type defender but wow, he really has some bravery, dash and a great kick. Him and bowey out the backline will be an exciting attacking combination.

Gets to learn of our elite group of senior defenders too, and by the time they move on our defence is going to be looking pretty set for the next tilt.

I think it's OK to pearl clutch when your club has just traded their best midfielder of the last 20 or 30 years for nothing due to 'cultural' reasons.

Good Ringwood lad. they raise them tough out there

Love his touch of arrogance he projects. we need it with May going soon

See I thought the opposite, eeew a Ringwood kid, only worse if they had been Croydon or Lilydale ha ha 😆

Love this pick.

This guy alongside Disco are going to hold down our defense for the next decade.

With his leg speed, I could even see him playing further up the ground in time.

Petty, Turner and Taylor is such a good mix of non-small defenders.

Don’t want to Petty bash as I’d really love to see him reach his full potential, but he really needs to work on getting himself as fit as possible - I reckon he’s a bit overweight tbh.

His mum has some good Lilydale heritage, don’t worry!

Both parents are great people, his dad was a very good footballer in his own right. The spunk might come from mum though 😏

I reckon our current #22 is going to feel a lot of role heat from the Eastern Ranges #22

A man of brevity - love it.

Using the word grouse is grouse.

Can’t wait to see what number he gets.

Instant cult favourite I suspect.

The beauty of Stewart is whilst he can play taller he almost never starts games as one of the Cats 3 tall defenders (SDK, Henry, O’Sullivan) because he can match up on smalls and provides the rebound and skills of a flanker.

Gives you 4 talls and allows for more zoning and to just blanket teams in the air.

Listening to JT that sounds exactly how they see Taylor fitting for us.

30 years? ROFLMAO He may not have ever been the best midfielder in his team! There was some story about Bradman being asked how he'd go against the Windies bowlers of the 80's. He said his batting average would have been been a fair bit lower.

"But your average was almost 100?!"

"Yes, but I'm in my seventies now."

Where is Oliver now? He didnt get a Brownlow vote last season. He's managed FIVE (FIVE!) votes in his last 43 plus games. Would you have been happy if we had just brought in the 5th best midfielder from another team and were now paying him a million something a year and this guy also has a lot of problems off field?! Surely not! If Oliver goes on to win the next 2 Brownlows we'll look ridiculous. But it's also ludicrous to make out he's currently the superstar he was and that we only lost out!
