Why does Lindsay freeze in front of goals?

Twice he was running into goal in the last and it’s as if he was trying to hit the top of the post. He’s usually a beautiful kick in general play.

I would say he is a bit timid.

Tell me again how umpires don’t influence outcomes of games.

I’m sick to death of us being stitched up by the umpires against those [censored]. We should have done enough ourselves to get over the line and shot ourselves in the foot with repetitive simple skill errors. But that last 2 minutes from the umpires was a disgrace. Instead of a forward 50 entry and potential shot on goal from a holding the ball free kick which isn’t paid to Clarry, they give a ticky touchwood free kick to Curnow for something I’m sure Max and our on ballers have to put up with 100 times in a game. To follow it up Max gets ran through and punched in the head in a marking contest, has blood streaming out of his forehead, no free kick. Absolutely Fuming.

How about when the maggots called it back for a free kick in the 3rd qtr when one of the Carlton players had played on and kicked a point.

Goal from the resulting free kick.

Just one example of many.

We need a clean out top to bottom.

When it happens week after week that's were the fault lies.

That's right, because no matter how good or bad the players are it comes down to the coach. Your premise is basically that next week we could put the Casey team on the field and when they lose it's Goodwin's fault.

Ahhh, if it's not 'loading' or 'not being fit enough', it's the umpires eh?

The Tigers are just one game behind us now

Agree. Well said. No one showed any heart for Clarry.

only one that did in the final qtr was him..... [censored] weak from everyone else

Not sure what to make of Jeffo’s game. He could actually be really good if he wasn’t so bad if that makes sense. I’d give him a few more weeks

How can you win nearly every stat and still be behind on the scoreboard.

Bevlcause you dont win the most important stat in football. Marks inside 50. No point winning the ball, getting turnovers, getting inside 50 if you cant take a mark and then nail a set shot. Thats what wins football games more than anything else. With that much or the ball and shoulders out entires into 50 we should at least be getting double figures for marks i50. Cya next week!

Just pathetic. [censored] umpiring asides, we were clearly and objectively the better team coming in putting up ultra competitive efforts against top 6 sides and unlucky to not see the results, but to then come out flat as as we did against a side on their knees is [censored] diabolical.

Slow start against this mob back last year and once again, same old, same old… we really should have come out breathing fire and put them to the sword and inflict scoreboard pressure. Skills were not up to scratch and without proper execution of skills you simply cannot hurt the opposition.

It’s all about confidence. He tries so hard and to his credit his attacked that contest, took a good pack mark and kicked the goal when the game was there to be won. He’s played 6 games, one of which he was subbed off in the first quarter with a broken hand.

The season is done, what’s the use of not giving him exposure at this level? He’s contracted and he will be at the club next year, so let’s see what he can do with more confidence. That last mark and goal would be massive for his belief.

Come on, silver linings.

The umps have got us a step closer to a new coach(es).

I think Disco went forward for the last three minutes. Savvy move Simon.

Jeffo gets himself in the right place. Just let him and JVR run the season out together up forward. There's nothing to really lose.

Should we start a change.org petition to have Disco play forward with them and Petty to go back when May is suspended for a couple of years.

Maysey really should have swung a stiff arm at the blokes jaw "going for the ball ya know". He'll end up with more weeks than Xerri because......

Our club is a little club. We don't stand up for ourselves.

And, we don't make the hard decisions until it's too late and our membership whittles away.

I love Kosi.

Great to see Fritta play with aggro and ferocity.

Langford will be a champ if we don't make him crumble.

I can't recall seeing an AFL team kick it over their teammate's head over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

When do our wonderful women's team kick off?

Gimme Stinnear over Goodwin any day

How anyone can watch that and think it's the responsibility of the coach is beyond me.

Yep love 2 seasons of bottom 4 finishes and 2 seasons before that of straight sets final losses.

We are going swimmingly nothing to see here!

FYI Richmond are one win behind us that’s how well we are going but our coach is all over it. [censored].

We need to grow a pair and make the hard calls which are becoming easier by the week. Goodwin and the rest of the football department need to go as well as some cooked champion players.

Brad Green and co, instead of being cheerleaders, be leaders and make decisions that will drive the club forward, not into the ground.

I have a ten day old who calms down faster than some people on here!

Disappointing result, but a bit of a fun game, really.

On to next week and back to the task of making each part function well on the same day.

" Blues have several of their top 10 most important players out and are in worse form than us...

So in short, I'm prepared for Charlie to dominate, a no-name VFL level player to kick multiple goals on May and for us to lose the game by 5 points.

Can't wait. "

Jeez I wasn't far off that prediction pre-game.

Charlie was very good, the no name player was Ashton Moir and their kids all stood up against us. We lost by 8 and not 5.

Big changes need to happen, even if it's for more short term pain next year. This group and coach are going nowhere.

How is it possible to script a Melbourne loss so easily? It's genuinely amazing.

Another bottom 6 finish and it’s on the Goodwin , coaches & footy dept , its a disgrace what’s occurred since 21, our game plan, skill level has gone backwards yet the faith shown in Goodwin is a joke! Gone from 16 wins in22/23 to 11 & 6writing is in the wall, last 3 premiers haven’t fallen off the cliff but we should accept this debacle! When’s the heat going to go on Goodwin?

We are big average, yes, but pull your head of the sand. The umpiring is absolutely f’d.

Imagine if Pickett wasn't in this side? This season would be completely unwatchable and it's painful enough already.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
