It was a routine win against a 17th placed team that's been bottom four for over half a decade... It was in no way impressive.

They were my thoughts, a lot of people pumped it up here though. Might have just been starving for a win.

Yesssss jefffo we all want to get on your plane!

Jefferson AA.

good lad jeffo

strong pack contest and assured finish under pressure

there may be hope for him yet

Am I right in thinking that Jeffo has dropped 5 uncontested chest marks? How is that possible? I really feel for the kid because he has worked his backside off to lead and make the play over and over again and then... error. And now a goal.

I don't know what to think now!

Game summary

  1. Forwards are dumb. Lead to pockets!!

  2. Skills are Poor.

Cerra’s attack was worse than Mays. Hit player head down stationary on ground. Just icky it didn’t have velocity causing serious injury

No remonstration of any dees players.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
