You'll have to forgive old sad sack. Every post is either a lament, a whinge or a criticism.

you’ve summarised that to a ‘t’

Does Voss survive tonight if this blows out to 100pts

He must be on some pretty shaky ground. Blues have imploded in the last 10 mins.

Extraordinary every time the Pies go forward it’s to Elliot so how does he get separation from one, should be two defenders, time after time? Are there any real shutdown defenders playing AFL footy anymore?

Cripps has been poor this year

Can’t see him getting more than 42 Brownlow votes

McRae has seriously got Collingwood playing like Richmond circa 2018-2020. Just look miles ahead of anyone. Vulnerable yet intimidating at the same time. They definitely have at least 1 more flag in them. Their recruitment particular in the forward line has been sublime. And they got Dan Houston who was being handed to us on a silver platter.

They would have lost 2-3 times in the last month, had they not played us, St Kilda and West Coast. They had their lull of the season coincide with the soft part of their fixture.

Right now they’re unbackable flag favourites, although a prelim against Brisbane will be interesting.

Good question, has to be a chance of getting the sack if it’s 100 plus.

The pies forward efficiency is sickening to watch. I'm used to 8 goals 16 behinds...not the inverse.

They always play to advantage. If it be taps to players when they can’t win the ball, kicks in front of a player to run onto the ball.

They have a symmetry all other teams do not have. Their vision and understanding of the game and their system is incredibly impressive

GWS at full strength can match h the Pies for mine. Although sitting ninth on the ladder and not quite putting the Eagles to the sword just yet they are the only team this year to beat the Lions (Gabba), Cats (GMBHA) and Pies at home.

pies are depressingly great to watch

They just Do

Other teams think about it

This is a system with connections and it certainly didn’t take them 3 years to learn it

It could always be worse. I could barrack for Carlton. ………

Until tonight I thought we had some overvalued players

Cripps Curnow heaven help Carlton

Carlton going nowhere at the moment

The great thing about Collingwood Jack (and I hate them), is not only do they play great football, they are lead by competent people who have a strong value toward diversity. The Pies are leaders in supporting homeless youth and are a big part of giving back to those who are less fortunate, including other minority groups. The Pink Pies group is a very much loved and supported group within their club.

Maybe Carlton should take their lead and the Dee’s connect more with the Reach Program. Success breeds success.

From “can you smell what we are cooking” and “they know we are coming” from 10 years ago to now praising little things like hoping a kid will play 200+ games. What a bunch of [censored]s 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I love seeing them continually embarrassed on prime time.

He’s protected if you try and get rough with him the umps will ping you … wasn’t a problem when they were a ragging Gawn, Trac and Oliver. But because it’s Nick, can’t have it.

that was a stroll in the park for the pies

i think we are seeing the death rattle of the Voss tenure. he won't last much longer

i was wondering all game who the bald guy for the pies was. didn't realise it was tom Mitchell

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
