Luker!!!!!

I started reading this thread without knowing the Casey game was happening. I thought that Lurker had got a miraculous call up to the senior team.

Suns by 41. Think we start dropping away over the second half of the season and see more kids getting games pumped into them. That's probably where we need to be at now. We rightly or wrongly paid a premium for guys like Jeffo and Kolt, so need to give them a run and see if they'll become what we hope and need.

Suns are pushing for finals and are usually strong at home, so expecting a strong win by them today.

It's difficult to get excited about games given our season is a bust and Goody insists that Petty is a forward.

My real interest and enjoyment is watching Kozzie going from strength to strength.

It’s gameday baby. Pumped!

About to consume a few tasty alcoholic beverages to warm the cockles before the big game.

Go Dees!

You and your bloody “Pumped baby!” Used to luv your posts. Im sick of the pumping. I’ve done nothing but pump, pump pump. I’ve been pumped up and let down so many times now I have ED ( emotional disturbance).

Agreed, very little to be pumped about for this.. we might get 'pumped' though.

Haha same here. I even checked the MFC socials for a late change. Binman how dare you post in the wrong thread. I expect better from you.

I need to collect some fire wood, its a constant task. BUT will delay today while I visit the Nicholas hotel to watch the game.

Hope its worth it.

Need to tell the boys the sacrifices we supporters make.

Perhaps tell them that if we lose they will be rostered onto fire wood cutting stacking duties to build their resilience.

Im already thinking LEVER and TMac could be leading the team to get me through the winter, after their efforts in the Casey match.

Absolutely no way we are winning this. Suns at home, they have far better method and a lot more goal kicking options. There is a reason they pumped us by 10 goals earlier in the year.

Kayo has kindly decided to [censored] itself again as everyone forced to use it to watch Saturday games clogs the stream.

Weather here is very mild and overcast, equivalent to a mid autumn Saturday afternoon in Melbourne so the usual heat and humidity won’t be a factor (although strangely enough we won here last year when it was in the high 20’s)

As others have mentioned, GC are playing for finals and should be winning this home game accordingly. I just hope we don’t beat ourselves which we’ve done the last 3 weeks.

I'm the opposite.

I'm actually really confident about how well go today.

We'll be as fresh as we're ever going to be given we're coming of our bye.

Conversely, the AFL has done us a solid as the Suns are off a six day break and travel.

And the suns gws game, which I watched, was a very intense, high pressure game with lots of arc to arc running so will be no easy thing to back up from.

In terms of our method, we match up well against the suns I reckon.

They have a leg speed advantage but i think our selection has in part looked to negate that advantage.

I agree they will be desperate to win after 3 losses on the trot, but as you note so will we and I'm not convinced beng desperate to win nessarily translates to doing so (the Suns were desperate to win last week).

Dees by 17.

You should really bottle your optimism and sell it! A highly valuable commodity!

But to support your optimism I’ll pray we kick straight! I’ll also prayer that Oliver, Viney and Trac each hit four passes onto the chest of leading forwards - preferably Demons!

Also pray that umpire 22 isn’t on the Gold Coast!

I should add that the game clashes with the local Bushrangers game .

THey despite the difficulties of the season are vying for third place on the ladder and are guaranteed to give their all.

I cant watch both games even thought the Dees match will be on in the clubrooms.

Go Dees

Go Demons. I reckon we are a chance today

Season over so i’m hoping i’ll be less emotionally involved and can just enjoy our youngsters hopefully playing well.

not too concerned with results for the rest of the year

want to see the youngsters continue to develop and really hoping Jeffo can finally find his feet at this level.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
