i dont think its official, there are quite a few who traipse the boarders...however it seems the 'ology was originally more serious while demonland was more 'fun'. i wasnt around at the beginning and didnt find ology til much later and prefer it here. maybe im easily swayed by the easy to use interface. whatev. i dont think they would tolerate yze magic for example...lol

Thats a pretty good assessment. Yze_Magic posted there a bit a year ago.

Is there some kind of 'code of ethics' or similiar whereby Demonlanders who post on "ology are hereby despised, shunned or whatever?

As far as I am concerned Demonlanders are welome at Demonology, just as I believe Demonologists are welcome here. We all support the same team!

Well I left that forum about 6 months ago, too many serious twats who seem to think they are far superior to regular demonlanders...

EDIT: What a 300th! :P

I agree totally with Tim. It's only a small number of the fringe posters on both sites who stir up a bit of aggro from time to time. They are best ignored because we're here for the same cause - to support the MFC.

well said WJ but an interesting point here is that in general it is always going to be just a small fringe group that give a larger majority their traits. take a random cross section of melbourne according to football team they support. ok there might be some trends but in general people are people. it just so happens that mfc get the upper class tag while richmond get the scum.

in all honesty i love the upper class tag. since when has it ever been an insult to call someone wealthy and cultured? pfft. collingwood however are a bunch of no brainers, and the perfect example of this was their supporters behaviour in relation to the umpiring last week. they clearly had no idea of the rules.

I post relatively the same amount on both... I found 'ology much earlier than Demonland so that probably influenced my preference early on. Both sites have their pluses in different areas. I find Demonland gets the breaking news about Ins and Outs and player news quicker, and it has more in depth Sandy coverage - where as I find 'ology can have more in depth discussion on more serious topics, as well as an older group of posters who cover a lot of historical information. Tim_ and others have created a wealth of historical data on the Demonology site which is undoubtedly more than is available anywhere else on the web - and for this he should be congratulated.

I found this site first when looking for a forum for the dees. I have looked at demonology, but i prefer it here as it is more organized

Just back from work (and a few bevvies) and wanted an up to date games thread.

As of 10 minutes ago not a great one here so checked Demonology. Site down. 9.45 pm.

BTW both sites offer lots to the die-hard supporter.

Have joined both recently and Demonology a bit more of a closed shop as it's been on longer but otherwise not much different.

The site was down earlier today due to a Hard Disk failure wich they fixed reasonably quickly.

I think they are rebuilding the server at the moment.

The company owner is a collingwood supporter so Demon considerations are not given high priority. <_<

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

    TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
