Wonder who GC paid to design the invisible logo on their guernsey?

Has to be the worst football jumper I've ever seen.

Wait really? Mac Andrews is one of the highest paid defenders or players? Either is extremely surprising

Mac Andrew, a Gold Coast Suns AFL player, is reportedly set to earn $12 million over a nine-year deal, averaging $1.3 million annually. This contract is one of the largest in AFL history, surpassing even those of established stars like Lance Franklin. The deal also includes a potential extension that could see him play until 2034.

Forgive that it's a question to Google

Real fizzer in Adelaide

Was there bad weather? Ridiculously low total score 86 points. Both bad? Both great defences?

Richmond are no easy beats. Lots of effort.

Better they get it out of their system this week. I think Yze would have got them up against their former coach and departing players

If Gold Coast lose this, they'll have to expand their academy zone to Australia-wide.

Well the crowd may just be bigger next Thursday with both teams coming off a win.

Dimma would be going nuts.

A shame they will lose because it leaves the filth on top

More importantly what the fhk happened in those 2 games against Norf and GC especially?

ANZAC Eve is not a given against Richmond.

They are a decent side.

Hahaha, WTAF?

I mean, he’s played 40ish games, probably in the top, 20? 25? Maybe? Defenders in the league, so when you look at it like that, I guess it makes sense to give him millions of dollars a year for 9 years.

This round has made me angry we lost to north and Gold Coast

Yeah watching Richmond get the win & yze have a plan to beat them makes it more annoying that they thrashed us

Well done Yze. Hope you keep doing well

not next week but

Will need to play well Thursday night, Tigers will be hard at it

Crowd Numbers have just gone up 30,000 i reckon 😊

Their young team will struggle on a 5 day break.

We have lost all our lst quarters, we will see.

the betting odds for a Tigers win against GC were too good to be true. Don't normally bet, but something told me Yze would get them up for this, so had a dip. Happy man this morning.

Seems to be the way things are going.

Just need to be linked to other sides/go Home factor, be in the middle of contract negotiations, and then have one or two “breakout” games.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
