Maynard his usual self.

Love to see him taken out in a game.

Pies were given a 50m penalty that was measured at 77.7 metres. That is a massive mistake. Then McStay gets a goal from a push that wasnโ€™t there.

I find it funny that bad mistakes by umpires in Pies games, seem to nearly always be in their favour.

The demons are now way anywhere near the quality of these two teams we deserve our lowly position on the ladder blame game plan coach recruiting and over paid past it players

Wrong thread. Please use one of the other seventy dedicated to the topic of slagging the club.

For the good of football.

Look I donโ€™t know if Iโ€™ve mentioned it but I hate Maynard

Itโ€™s a hate reserved for only the most malevolent of beings. Genocidal prime ministers, that sort of thing

The filth are really living up to the filth label tonight.

Not sure itโ€™s been said here yet but Maynard is a real piece of work.

Just remembered I haven't heard BT or JB call a game this year. So good.

Taylor froths for Collingwood like they didnโ€™t drop him for the 1990 premiership ๐Ÿ˜‚

I tipped Collingwood. Something NQR about Brisbane. They have been smashed in parts of games and wheels were bound to fall off. Collingwood is exceptionally well drilled. They just go go go and ALWAYS kick to space. Their players work so hard.

We need some Collingwood people at the club

The umpiring has been average tonight. Mihocek has twice just grabbed a handball receive and immediately ducked to ground, hoping for high contact but then being tackled and no attempt to dispose of the footy, for a ball up. Holding the ball surely!

  • PREVIEW: Fremantle

The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Saturday Nightโ€™s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourneโ€™s memorable premiership triumph.

  • NON-MFC: Round 02

The compromised AFL fixture will get another test this week with the first lot of teams getting a bye after only two matches. Despite this Round 2 starts off with two cracking games as the Hawks host the Swans at the G on Thursday Night and then on Friday Night the Crows host the Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, weโ€™ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binmanโ€™s Stats Files. Not because it isnโ€™t important; quite the opposite. Itโ€™s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourneโ€™s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last yearโ€™s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although itโ€™s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sundayโ€™s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to foolโ€™s gold.

Never in doubt!!! In Steven Kingโ€™s first game at the helm of the Melbourne Football Club, the Dees outlasted Saints in a wild, momentum-swinging thriller at the MCG, running out 13-point winners.
