Jaded, the only thing we haven't changed is that we have hung onto Clarrie. Do you think that the thing that has [censored] Trac off the most is the pandering to Clarrie by the Club over the last couple of years?

Honestly, I think Tracโ€™s issues are far bigger than one player. He and his entourage do not like our club. I know people will come here and dispute this and say he loves the club and the players, but his head has been turned. He looks down on us and thinks heโ€™s better than what we have to offer him at this point in his career.

So frankly speaking, if his entire issue is our club doing what they thought best for the wellbeing of a champion player, he can enjoy the Barossa.

And he might be awfully disappointed to find out that ours is hardly the only club that panders to troubled stars. Maybe next time heโ€™s cooking burgers with Dangerfield for a Coles ad he can have a chat to him about Bailey Smith.

He'll have to take a pay cut I reckon to get a deal with Crows over the line. Cant see them taking on his full wage and give up the required capital.

Let's hope he prefers GC. We will be bent over if he goes to the Crows.

At least the GC have a good hand to deal with plus a pick 7 for Flanders.

No, we won't be bent over.

It's a deal we are satisfied with or he stays. We still have the upper hand.

I'm pretty certain that the lady in the denim jacket is Anna Scullie, his new manager.

Certainly is.

Either way, I dont see a deal or player currently floated that's going to compensate us enough for trac, horrible injury last year, and this year he just wasn't what he was pre injury (finishing 2nd in the B&F was a little sugar I think for him to stay). I'm guessing that he has met with King, expressed concerns and they've had a mutual discussion regarding his and the clubs future, King has no emotional connection to him, so why would he want someone around that does not want to be there, he has a clean slate and would want a team that wants to grow with him.

I am going to say that 2026 is going to be a teething year for Steven King, he is dreaming if he genuinely thinks we can play finals next year, but year in year out it seems like other clubs raid our list, contracted players or not, our list mangers need updating, someone that's going to go all in cut throat for a luke Jackson, Bailey Humphrey, Ben King types. The good clubs stay good by getting better, not by standing still. We have a list to attract good names, but obviously more missing for on the appeal Side.

The team canโ€™t stay in its current format, change is required. The only way to change is to trade and draft and players with currency, help this along. I love Trac and he is a star but not irreplaceable

100% this. Lets not forget that Trac is a turnover merchant i, s a terrible kick for goal and lacks defensive accountability. His 1-wood was contest and stoppage work and he was continually getting exposed in the last 2-3 years whilst the game has moved towards an outside game. He is obviously still rocked by his injury and its arguable whether he will ever get back his ruthless attack on the ball. We won't miss him as much you all think we will. Its better we cash in now than next year or the year after.

I get you still need inside bulls and we have plenty with Langford having a much better balance of inside / outside craft. Id also bank on getting Clarry back to his old self - he is younger too. It may not happen.

We will be the better for it with him out of the locker room too. Its never easy to see your premiership stars want to leave but i think his character is on full display here. He knows we are going to have a dip in form and relevance and is choosing to jump ship.

I for one will boo him as is my right.

Are people trying to tell me hes in Adelaide without clearing it with my mate ghosty, just when we were starting to get on together.

His Manager is making a statement. I think the real suitor is still out there and not made themselves known.

Does anyone know if she would be making more money on a new contract rather the one she took over. Presumably the original management would still be getting a cut.

Here we go. Demonland is true to form. Pages and pages of vitriol to one of the club's greatest players. Especially the happy clappers who always think everything is rosey at the club. Then when a player wants to leave, they turn on the player.

For Petracca wanting to leave, then that's on the club. Our culture was putrid.

Unless we get the right deal, hold him to his contract. But I have no faith in Tim Lamb, so I can see us getting screwed over by the Crows.

If Trac leaves, he'll be remembered as a key part of the only flag in my lifetime.

Catchya Brand Petracca..... you tried to hold us ransom last year, we gave you a fat contract and this is how you repay us.

Thanks for the flag but dont let the door hit you on the way out

Pretty much my thinking in the main.

Folk won't like the idea of a somewhat mercenary type player but that to me is what he is . I could be wrong...just ask my wife.

I've no actual problem with that. As long as if you wear the jumper its 100% + efforts as any one should.

I think theyre a little (๐Ÿ™„) disenchanted ...or at most nonchalant about Melbourne and happy for a reset. Again no probs provided we get reasonable recompense. This is the world.

Would he be happy at another club ? Well.. probably not best to ask me as once you're out that door i really couldn't give a ๐Ÿชฐ'n ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ˜‰

For some this might be illusion shattering.... look .... he's out scouting another club. Does that mean he's going ?? Gives this spectator the impression its more likely than not.

๐ŸŽช๐Ÿคก๐ŸŽช๐Ÿคก๐ŸŽช

Roll up... roll up..

Honestly. Iโ€™ve had enough of Petracca. He is the Ben Simmons of the AFL (off the field).

Take your crocodile tears and empty words and get out of me club.

Donโ€™t worry, Tracโ€™s manager is on the jobโ€ฆ

Petracca isn't forcing his way out of the club. The club are open to the trade, Adelaide are open to doing the trade, so Petracca is talking to Adelaide. Why are people so butthurt.

Donโ€™t understand his logic.

Media said โ€œanything to sayโ€ or similar and he responded โ€œI donโ€™t think this is the time or place to discussโ€ or similar. Iโ€™m paraphrasing.

If he didnโ€™t want to be spotted by media, why would you fly.

Wouldnโ€™t you simply get in a car, and take a trip.. surely.

You'd ask them to come to Melbourne -where it could be for any number of reasons.

He wants the column inches and to put pressure on the MFC to trade.

Would love to hear from King and Ceo to take a stance say itโ€™s on our terms as canโ€™t have a player controlling this

Perhaps Adelaide is just the first pitstop on the Tour de Brand itinerary. Being the big fish in a small pond might suit him.

Hope so, the Suns are still going to be best outcome pick and hopefully player wise for us.

Agree.

If Tracc wants to leave that is 100% on the club.

The players bear no responsibility for the culture of the club. They are passive observers.

Any player that wants out, is better out. What we can get for said player is another story.

Best they say nothing ( well publicly ) til there's actually something concrete and positive ( for club ) to say.

Powder dry ๐Ÿ˜‰

Unlike last year Iโ€™m neither angry or disappointed. Iโ€™ve already spent those coupons and I think him moving on is probably best for the club long term provided we can get a proper deal done.

The fact that heโ€™s clearly the one trying to drive this through and his willingness to go to a number of clubs puts the club in a strong position to negotiate from.

Donโ€™t worry about me, mousey, worry about finding a personality outside of trolling threads for attention.

If projection was an Olympic sport, youโ€™d be the gold medalist. Keep squeaking, little mouse.

Strange how you follow my posts closer than you follow the club. Obsessionโ€™s not a good look, champ.
Also he is a MFC HERO, not just mine!

If he stays, let's hope so. Otherwise we may have a uninterested player who doesn't mind if his trade value goes down in a year since a trade would be easier as a result. It's all very well to talk about professionalism ensuring maximum effort at all times, but there is always an element of something more around committment and passion.

As long as we stand our ground and get a ripping deal, not pick 20s, the fan base cannot go through the doldrums again
