Good ins I reckon.

Pickett, Windsor and Spargo are all probably in our top five kicks and Turner player a blinder in the VFL.

Happy 100th to Spargs as well!

If only Captain Parmenter were in the side.

Four changes, so we can add Sergeant O’Rouke, Corporal Agarn and Chief Wild Eagle too.

Um give me Wrangler Jane....Anyday of the week!

Fritta very lucky - last chance to impact the scoreboard or back to the magoos (if Goody has any selection integrity)

What a gutless team selection, same old players get dropped

MAKE A STATEMENT GOODWIN

How can Fritsch still be getting a game, he was terrible last year and absolutely woeful in the 3 games so far this year, his body language is infecting the whole team.

The poor buggers confidence is shot and would probably really benefit with some pressure off at Casey.

Billings, Howes & Johnson will be back in in a couple of weeks along with Woey, where as Laurie will continue good form at Casey & never get a look in other than a sub. Why in Gods name was he given a 3 year contract & then not given a chance!!

spelling

Goodwin once upon a time wouldn't play Fritsch as a forward even though we were screaming for it. Now we can't get him to get Fritsch out of the forward line even though he isn't even Coldstream seconds level at the moment.

There's been plenty of bigger upsets than us winning this but my jaw will dislocate in shock if it happens.

Laurie should be in for Spargo. Just don’t understand why players get a free run at playing seniors with little footy behind them. Laurie deserves a solid run at it.

Laurie must be wondering what he has to do to get a game but Henderson and Sharp walk into the team and aren't playing very well

We look a lot better on paper.

Good changes overall, Billing Howes, AJ have been poor and deserve to be dropped

Pace, skill and youth come in

Add Lever, McVee, Kolt and Lindsay and drop the likes of Sharp, Hendo and we start to look pretty good

I agree he has been down on form and has put in some poor efforts. But he kicked 41.23 in a poor team last year, so that is not terrible

He finally started to get involved last week with 15 touches and 8 scoring involvements so to drop him would be not the best move for the team. Clearly guys like AJ were worse

I agree on Laurie though

Excuse my ignorance but am i correcting in thinking Spargo is replacing Billings?

Different positions, different kinds of players. It would be Laurie for Sparrow, and doubt that’s happening anytime soon.

True but I reckon Laurie could play at HF or small fwd or even wing. He bring better skills than Sharp

Sparrow has been one of our few decent players this year so agree he won't be dropped

Oliver on the pine. Surprising. I would have thought Petracca or Viney before him

Wait do people think that these announced team lineup positions are actually the definite positions they start at on the day/night? Its just slapped together really. I doubt Sparrow starts on a wing either...

Looks like Fritta has called Goody's bluff, he still getting a game in the seniors. A reason we are playing so badly is that the players have lost respect for the coach. Perhaps our CEO should put Goody on notice in the media.

Melbourne to win by 24 pts ( in an alternative world) .Kangaroos to win by 23 pts.

I’m driving down to Kitty-litter Park tomorrow with a couple of Geelong supporting mates. Banking on a win so I don’t have to hear their dribble on the way back.

Spargo, Melksham and Salem. All we need is Lever to return and Goody will have all his favourites back together.

Yeah, but I think Melksham is a good favourite. I expect him to lead the forward line with his verbal messages. Hope he finds form too.

Agree, will be good to get Lever back and all our senior players out there

This week they are anyway. Needs to kick at least 3 to stay.

The Demon stalwart surpassed the number of his father's appearances for the club towards the end of the season. As he approaches his thirties, his pace is inevitably slowing, and he is likely to explore alternative opportunities beyond the team's midfield.

“Disco” took his time (four seasons) but the mid-season draftee has been a shining light of Melbourne's campaign, improving to become a versatile option at either end of the ground. He has great marking skills which allows him to play as a marking target up forward or an intercepting defender down back.

The skipper delivered another outstanding season, leading the team from the front, participating in every game, and earning club champion honours, while also securing an equal record eighth All-Australian blazer as a ruckman.  Max Gawn is arguably the greatest exponent of ruck skills in the history of the game; an exceptional leader who has guided the club to a premiership, through the challenging times that followed, and now into the next phase of its storied history.

It was a frustrating season for the former number 13 draft selection, who failed to build momentum in his second campaign; Tholstrup played only nine games, having been omitted twice and substituted out three times. However, he demonstrated promising signs in the midfield at Casey towards the end of the season, and big things are anticipated from him in the coming years.
